Almost every other game i have had an AFK on my team, or on the enemy team. It's getting really obnoxious, and it isn't fun to play 4 v 5 so. damn. often.
Thing is, this happens every season. People afk i'd say 5x as much as mid season/end of the season.
I pray that it's not just me who gets such a heavy amount of afkers.
(AND YES, i just got out of a game with an AFK teammate. 3/7 games)
Mecha Jax1 votes/Remake if they are afk at the start of the game... If they are afk later on report them at the end. I do not think harsher punishments are too appropriate except for consistently afk players. Real life needs to come first sometimes we have no idea what goes on in people's lives while they play the game and sometimes its an emergency. One time I was in the middle of a league game with a friend and my carbon monoxide detector went off. I had to grab my dog and get outside while the fire department was called. Even if the fire department said it was ok to stay inside during this time (they said everyone needed to vacate the building) I would have stayed outside for my safety.
I also think low priority queue is a great punishment since any time spent waiting getting into a queue is time spent rethinking doing anything to put you in that situation again. My friend had a 20 minute wait time for his queues but that was for his bad internet not for afking.

sure, but it shouldn't be a free ticket from a punishment if real life came first you surely shouldn't care of the in-game punishment, and other people don't care of your life problems but care when you ruin their fun by afkingh
Mecha Jax1 votesI am not saying it is a free ticket from punishment I am saying that these players are making one of 2 choices. 1 an important real life situation came up that they needed to stop playing or 2 the player either has to leave because they thought they could finish a league game when they have a soccer game in 20 minutes or they got tired of feeding and wanted to play something else.
The people that leave because of a rare occurrence in real life are not the ones getting punished it is the second group of players I mentioned. As far as I am concerned the current system is fine because that first group has some freedom while the second group faces the consequences. If any new system got implemented that hurt the first group more I would not be happy with it.
