Feel really relieved and happy when not playing LoL, extremely angry and exhausted when playing it

I have taken four days off of LoL because the game distresses me any time I touch it and have been so happy since enjoying my numerous other hobbies I've shelved for so long, but I feel like I can't turn myself away from this game and yet the instant I log on to the front page alone I get murderously bitter and worked up.

What do I do

Continue to take a break, frankly. Perhaps even uninstall it for a while.

Either that, or set new goals for yourself other than winning. Learn to play a new role, or a new champion. Focus on just getting everyone on your team as happy an coordinated as you can, or something like that. Don't sweat the win/loss screen, but focus on finding the fun in each game, no matter how bad it is.

This is just a game. Not a job where you have to force yourself to go to everyone whether you are happy or not. Perhaps try a different MOBA to see if it fits you better.

A game is meant for fun. If you are not having fun or if it doesn't make you happy, play something else. DotA, HotS, Smite, etc.

Maybe try different modes or builds than you're used to? Stay away from ranked so there's less pressure to win.

Or better yet, find a group a players to play with that you know don't take it too seriously. I find it helps to be joking around with friends (usually on discord) while playing. Really takes the edge off.

I'm with you, Bad. You don't want to walk away because you've invested time and effort and perhaps some money in your account. Extend your break a bit. Wait a month or so honestly, you'll be way less stressed about the garbo and IF you decide to come back, then you might be in a better headspace. Also, try to play with a friend or multiple friends. It does help, just make sure they aren't shitty people like so much of the community. Or smurfs...or do smurf with them, but I'm very anti-smurf. They're the second biggest problem in league imho.

I've moved onto Overwatch because of league. That being said, I'll come back one day when overwatch tilts me harder.

I would say take breaks by playing single player experiences. I play League a massive amount and a bit of Rainbow Six, but every month or two I make the conscious effort to go play a single player game and cut my competitive multiplayer game time by like 80 to 90%.

For example, the last few days I've been playing a lot of the Sea of Thieves beta with my friends, not really competitive and a weird kind of multiplayer so I still feel like I'm getting away, but mainly I've been playing Celeste with the intent to platinum the game, and I'm about halfway towards that goal right now.

It's nice. Last time I did something similar was when Cuphead came out and when I came back to League after no lifeing a hard single player experience I felt refreshed. Sometimes all you need to do is play through another game that tests your skill in another way to come back and realize League is for fun and not a job.

This game is fucking shit.

I went the 'uninstall' path and returned...nothing changed.

this game is messed up, the games are not fun like I remember from seasons 4-6, it's not the runes or the champ changes...but Riot done messed up the game soo badly now that entering into any match is prone to leave you angry, frustrated before the 10m mark.

And this botlane thing? as a support main it drives me nuts to watch my pretty towers get melted with 5 man rushes pre-10.

I know a few streamers are beginning to see what it has become (league) nd are moving on to games with more fun value. League in the state is in now? it's bad...needs new maps, not new champions pissing in the same pot. in fact any new map would bring some minor enjoyment.

but the game hit a point with me that I'm just done.

Maybe it will be nice when new stuff emerges...not a new champ, new content that isn't emotes or skins. and not URF, god not urf. nobody liked it after a week because hitting the maximum power spike got really boring. (they explained it themselves that the powerspike was what made that mode unfun after a while)

I have a bit different but still mainly negative feelings when playing LOL very long. When I stop enjoying the game, I just stop playing it, till I get lot's of good memories about playing it and really want to do it again. Only then I enjoy the game and perform much better. This is the main reason ,I find, I don't fall in rank.

If you're serious about stopping, you can create a support ticket and ask them to delete your account. They will do it.

-stop playing ranked. -play random shit you think looks fun (have you tried predator singed?) -treat league like a game and have fun, there's no point in winning if it's not fun.

i took a big, LONG break myself. i would recommend shelving the game for at least a month or two and coming back with a determination to be 100% casual (not that you dont take game seriously but that your primary intent is to simply have fun). dont be so focused on winning vs losing, dont immediately mute all but be quick to mute people when they start being toxic or start saying things that are making YOU toxic, be a positive team player, just try to be more positive about the game and remember that it is in fact just a game. if you try that and it still sucks, i would honestly recommend just quitting outright. its hard at first but after a little bit it gets pretty easy
