Can we prioritize bans for giving up?

I've started playing ranked again recently (Congrats, first time placements hasn't placed me in Bronze V) and I notice that a lot of people have the mentality that if they or someone on their team make a mistake or get outplayed, they just give up and become a hindrance to their team.

For example, we had a Brand mid who got fed off the enemy Leblanc who had no clue what she was doing. Bot lane was in trouble since it was basically a 3v2 lane and our ADC was having internet problems and got behind, and our jungler didn't consider ganking bot lane. Basically, the fed Brand entered a mindset that we were all feeders and he refused to group. At one point he just walked into the middle of our jungle and waited until the enemy team tore him apart. Jungler asked him what he was doing and he simply replied, "Giving up."

I'm sure we have a lot of these stories floating around, but the point is that we need to make giving up a reportable offense. It's one of the worst things somebody can do in a game where teamwork is vital, and to be fair allowing 4 people to suffer at the hands of one jerk who tossed in the towel would be wholly cruel.

I don't see enough of these people being banned. Please give it priority. Thank you.

I wish this could be reportable, but on the flipside of things... Oh wait there isn't. Yea I hate people who give up, but that doesn't stop you from trying your best. In bronze, silver, and gold elo it doesn't mean the world to have someone giving up like that. I mean, he was fed and he could have won the game for you guys, but that is his decision to lose the game. You also had the decision to win the game, but you didn't make it when you did poorly.

I thought giving up (outside the surrender feature) was already reportable?

I would classify it as, "assisting the enemy team".

you don't hang around here often enough do you?

you'll get a guy every other day complaining about "unfair ban" when all they said were negative stuff and how they wanted to give up.

The FF@20 types can be banned - but there have to be enough of the reports before they get dinged. Just make sure that you don't just click the button but give the staffers something more to go on when you report them. If the behaviour in the game is akin to griefing / "inting"/"camping in respawn" with (or without) disconnecting" / "spamming surrender votes", then make a mention of it. Be clear. Then those early surrendering types will be dealt with accordingly.
