silencing chat
I really want to do this because a lot of my teammates have yet to actually be worth listening to, but if I completely silence chat I could get punished for it, why the hell is this even an option if it's a punishable offense?

Name one instance of someone who got banned for muting everyone (assuming you dont type anything yourself).
I have never known anyone who "refuse to communicate" and i really doubt you have either.
