It's actually sad how much league has distorted my views of online communities.

Get a random friend request on any other game, first thought is "Sigh. What did I do to piss this guy off?" Get friend requests on fortnite after games. "Nope" Hearthstone. "Super nope" but they are kinda toxic too.

Im no saint and can certainly have my bad days with it, but majority of the problems league has falls on the players. If you don't care enough to stop flaming, acting like you are god's gift to league, you essentially want to see the game die. You do not make people want to stay.

I reinstalled mechwarrior online, which has integrated VOIP and no one ever ever flamed once. All "hi""good eveening""strategy stuff""gg"regarless the result..

The league community is nothing but a self entitled circlejerk of narcissists who all think they are 'god teir" players. They go on and on about how "Im so good, too bad I cant carry this trash team" and yet they will abandon thier teammates at the drop of a hat to go pick off a solo in top lane. Yeah who cares if everyone else dies in mid lane "look guys! I got ONE KILL, how awesome am I?""

And yet the moment you dont follow their specific gameplan, or heaven forbid you miss lasthitting a minion, you will get flamed into oblivion. I mean the latest trend is these "pro" players will ping a players buid as a form of Public humiliation. Like "look at this build, OMG SO BAD, Har har"

I have stopped treating this community with any form of respect. They clearly think they are too good for anyone else, so they dont need me to respect them. Everyone thinks they are "Too good for this team" and I dont cater to narcissists.

But if anyone tries to bring up toxicity like you stated, they will turn around with "well maybe u just sukk" or something similar.
