How big can someones ego possibly get?

Spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out a title and the one i have still sorta sucks... Anyways i was duo queuing with a friend and we ran into this really rude mord adc (Nothing new there) he ended up doing really good despite trolling for the most part. He ended up carrying us from what we thought was a defiant loss. At the end of the game he told us we had to praise him with a line like "Mord your the best person at this game ever and we love you, thank you for the carry" or beg him to keep playing. We obviously didn't want to feed his ego so we didn't say anything, he then afked and we got the loss.

What has to be going through the mind of someone to be so full of themselves that if they don't get praised then they are gonna sacrifice the win for everyone including themselves?

P.S: I'm not looking for some sort of poll to get this person in trouble or even for a mod to do anything about it. Just a wanted to see what everyone else thought of this situation

o.o. That's normal. You should just ignore them, accept the lose, and move on : ] . I personally worry about the mistakes that I made and learn from them, improve, and eventually I rank up : D

It was probably one of those Diamond smurfs xD Some of them have pretty big ego and has Pro dreams so i not uncommon to encounter them. I find it funny because for me this is only a game and has no real impact on my real life, just a way to pass the time after a long day of work.

Quick question? Why didn't you mute him immediately? I mean, the second people start being jerks in chat, I tend to mute them. Granted, I have a temper and short fuse for dealing with stupidity so it's mostly to keep me focused on the game and not arguing with some idiot in chat... but still. Mute the kid immediately, if he decides to throw because no one is fluffing his ego.... let him throw. Then report him. Then move on. Children will be children, after all.
