Should we ban bad players?

Do you too hate the 0 10 or the 0 20 ? Do you want them to be banned to stop them from ruining your games so you can finally get to the elo you deserve?

Of course not. Everyone is bad when they start playing. Or when they first start playing a champion. Or when they first play a new build. There are many different reasons why a player could have a bad score. But the point of playing is to have fun, to learn and specifically to learn to be a better player, which people cannot do if you simply ban them before they have a chance to learn.

And unless you are the absolute worst player in all of League, there will always be players who are "bad" compared to you. If you're in silver, you'll think bronze is bad. If you're in gold, you'll think silver and bronze are bad. If you're in plat, etc, etc, etc. But the matchmaking system is actually pretty good at getting people to where they actually belong, provided they put the time in to play the matches to get there.

lol if you are so good and think you are suppose to be higher you will over come bad players and rise... how do you think the people in diamond and higher get there? someone carried them through silver and gold with bad players?

how do those in master and challenger get there through all the bad diamond 5 and plat players?

oh wait ... they are at those elos because of their skill and talent at the game and get there regardless of the "bad players" you want to have banned

and so what elo do you think you deserve ? and you think other players in the rank/tier/mmr/elo you are currently at are holding you back?

how did you get to your elo you are at?

or apparently every one who isnt in the top 2% of rank should be banned for being bad.. .cuz dont people say if you arent at least diamond 2 you are bad ?

I've heard some of the challenger players calling high diamond "low elo." Time to polish the ole' banhammer.

man my elo is so low its negative ... but i dont care... i dont play rank have zero to prove by playing rank ( i use to season 5 was last season i did ) i play normals cuz i have nothing to do, nothing on tv and im too tired or sore to go out after working 10hrs a day

i play for fun and entertainment. not to judge myself worth based on a rating on a video game ,,, if i was is master tier it wouldnt make my bank account have more $ , it would make my selfworth any better , it wouldnt make my "endowment" larger , it most likely wouldnt get me more girls ( except for those elo whores ) so what difference does it make ?

I'm with you man. I actually hate playing ranked. I made the mistake of trying it when I first hit 30 back in season 3, and obviously I placed very low bronze. I had no idea what the hell I was doing. And when seasons 4 and 5 rolled around, I let my friends nag me into playing some ranked, so I would do my placements, get placed back into bronze, be very discouraged by that, and promptly drop that and go back to playing just normal matches. But towards the end of season 5, I started really focusing on trying to learn as much as I could about gameplay, and the individual champions and matchups that I encounter. And that matters more to me than any number or elo assigned by a system will: feeling that I am growing and learning as a player.

Like you, I work. It would be one thing if I was still in school, and didn't have the responsibilities that I have. But I've got a full time job with unpredictable hours, and I never know if my shift is going to be 5 hours or 15 hours until I get there in the morning. I just do not have the time or patience to worry about the immature outbursts of frustrated brats on the internet.

Actually, having a high enough ranked team would get you into Worlds. That'd put money in your bank account. Your argument is invalid. :P

yet my career i have that puts $ in my bank account... and my shelf life for my career isnt 3-5 yrs on average such as pro gamer ... i have a life time of a career that i can make alot of $ at...

no anyone who aint pro should be banned and obviously git gud or be banned. Then riot should ban all the bad pros cause they should git gud. Then anyone who aint double lift should be banned cause they shoulda git gud.

Everyone can have bad games. Bad games happen even when playing your main, and they happen more often when playing new champions. I'm sure you have had some bad games too, do you want to get banned for that?

You don't ban bad players, you put them in bronze. There's a ladder, so there has to be a floor. If you ban bad players, the standard of what constitutes a bad player changes. Then you'll ban the entire community.

I wouldn't say ban, but there probably should be some sort of punishment for feeding hard in ranked, or at the very least, people should not be punished when those feeders are on their team.

i made a suggestion awhile back of forcing people to play normals if they lose too many games in a row
