Abusive Community

I am sorry, but I play League as way to relax during my leisure time. Why is okay for teammates to berate me in ARAM if I am performing poorly - threatening to report me for "inting." Following my last game, one teammate said I was r%%%%%ed, t%%%%%her hurled a slew of other insults at me. Why are community standards not enforced on this platform. Sorry for the rant, but I am so tired of the downright toxic venom spewed from the players.

Edit: also don't censor words if you are going to allow it in-game.

Based on what do you say toxicity in ARAM is not enforced? If you report them, their chat log will be judged and depends on their toxicity history, they will be punished accordingly or have that game as a black mark on their toxicity history. You do not always receive a notification of someone's punishment even if your report is the one that got them punished.

Edit: also don't censor words if you are going to allow it in-game.

Those words are censored in-game as well BY DEFAULT. You chose, of your own free will, to turn off the language filter (enabled by default). You have no right to complain about that.

Boards and game have different filters, game filter also has to be manually turned off by the player.

It isn't okay for players to berate or threaten others. You mute them in game to immediately solve the issue and then in the post game lobby, report. Look at some of the threads in thsi section and you will see that people do indeed get punishments for calling team mates r%%%%%ed and what not.

"But they threaten to report me!" Okay, and? If you aren't actually inting, you have a miniscule chance of being flagged for a false positive. Hell, I had a D+ game on Sion in ARAM earlier because the enemy could basically make it so I never moved (Ahri Zilean Gnar AurelionSol and the only non cc they hadMasterYi ).

"I don't get a pop up saying they got punished!" Those pop ups are horribly unreliable by design. Just because you don't get one, doesn't mean they didn't get punished. They could have gotten a chat restriction, which wouldn't stop their ability to play.

You must be new to the boards. People get banned for the shit youre talking about all the time. Rules are only deterrents though. Theres no way to stop it ahead of time. So just mute, report, move on.

Welcome to league of legends. The only game i've ever played, where it takes 23942392348 reports for someone to ever be addressed for their very poor behavior. I wish league had a server for adults honestly. I'm tired of salty kids, and giant man babies. Worst community i've ever been a part of. Keeps getting worse too. Between afk's and toxicity it's almost unplayable.
