what's the most effective way to report this person ?

What makes this case make me come here specifically is because this was a duo trying to force one of them to mid when they weren't assigned mid. In the match the lulu kept claiming her game froze to disconnecting and reconnecting while the kat was like oh well we would have lost the match anyways lulu can't play. The kat banned my highlighted mid which was morgana (given they banned her too but it was like meh i got fiddle as back up ) however what's messed up is that he specifically did it to tilt me from mid and proceeded to just ruin the match. Submitting a report at the end of the game is not enough for this, i feel. As this directly is causing a loss purposely. If needed i can pull the video from the match but well mannered players don't deserve to be dealing with this.

I don't think we would have players like this if they had proper strict punishment. This happens to many of us but this type of thing is most certainly sabotaging the game, there should be an effective way of reporting this.

Because it is. I submitted a ticket with Riot support of someone using racist language and they never had any sort of ban. "Support" just gives canned responses and doesn't do fuck all.

By canned responses do you mean, "we can't tell you what happens as a result of this, and you should remember to always report at the end of game screen." ?

Because that is what they are required to say. They legally cannot give you the satisfaction you demand by telling you if the other player is punished, and they are likely required by their bosses to encourage you to submit reports after a match. This is because of privacy laws, as well as because if they don't discourage players from using support tickets then they will get buried in a deluge of support tickets as reports when the standard reporting system already exists for that.

\2. Regarding them "doing fuck-all"

What gives you the indication that nothing is done? They can't tell you what happens, they are legally obligated to with-hold that information. It doesn't mean that nothing is done, so I'm curious if there are other reasons you believe that people are not punished?

See I think that's bs because I'm not asking for any personal info, nor am I asking what kind of punishment. Just tell me "Yeah this guy was punished but we can't tell you if it was a chat restriction, 2 week ban, or perma ban".

If Riot ACTUALLY SHOWED US people were being punished, less people would do stuff like this.

I agree that we should have more transparency over when someone who wrongs us is punished, but it's also true that people sometimes engage in witch hunts and retaliatory trolling to mock a person and make them feel worse after they get punished.

A witch hunt is not when you expose someone, a witch hunt is

"Yeah there was this guy, imaqtpie, in my game. He called me the n-word!"

and people rally behind it. If I show a video of him calling me it, it's not longer a witch hunt. (at least in League terms).

I understand where you are coming from with that, but I must disagree.

Riot would be partially responsible for any efforts made by the players like you or myself to retaliate against the person or put them down by mocking them for having received punishment. Whether done individually or as a pack, it would not matter because any retaliatory harassment at all would be unacceptable.

Now, I don't think that you or myself would do such a thing, but there are players out there who would. Riot is likely not keen to contribute to a problem such as that.

I could believe it, but it just kinda sucks because you don't know. Hell, sometimes I feel like just running it down mid because Riot never punishes those people and I'm getting sick of game after game with people who troll because "they banned my champ" or some other stupid things. I'm only stopped by what little faith I have in the report system.

I agree it sucks not knowing.

But just because we experience feeders multiple times does not mean that they are not punished. It's a different person every time, even if it feels like the same experience over and over.

I've had similar feelings before as well, on a different subject. If the systems put in place to protect us won't actually protect us then it makes us want to go out and stand up for ourselves against the people that the systems are not protecting us from.

But contributing to the problem doesn't solve anything, it would just be a tantrum. And it would be disregarded as such, rather than being taken as actual feedback or a sign of anything.

Actually, it does do stuff. Once, I called support and when I locked Lux in, the Blitzcrank called support after and locked in. I was forced mid, and when I started losing lane, I was flamed....? A bunch of words like ngger and fggot. Yep, I still won after, but I took my time to go send in a ticket, and when I was opening client today, it said a player you reported has gotten a punishment or something I forgot how it was worded, but yeah.[zombie-brand-mindblown]

Because it is? Lol. I had someone tell a player to kill himself. Say he was going to int. Call us the n word. Then proceed to fill the whole champ select chat with "you're a n word". Pretty rough stuff. Lol. I took a screenshot and submitted a ticket. The response I got was pretty much "we can't do anything about what happened before the match. Make sure you report after the match :)". That was it. Lol. I ended up dodging that queue, so reporting after the game wasn't an option.

I feel your pain, and I agree that we need a way to report players before the game begins.

That said, they probably don't have systems in place that can record the activity in pre-game lobbies of dodged games. That probably gets recorded at the end of the game along with reports and everything else. It's not that they are being willfully unhelpful, they are literally ill-equipped to handle that sort of problem.

If you want something done to players who behave like that then you've got to stick it out and report them after the match. I agree that this is a shitty solution, but again, if you're as upset about it as I am then you should be advocating for a re-game report button rather than blaming Riot support for being willfully unhelpful when they literally can't help you.

Honestly you cant do much that happens all the time... a few tips from me to prevent ppl from banning your champion:

  1. In the declarering stage dont take any champion just dont do anything until the banning phase is over so they cant ban your champion.
  2. If you still do declare your champ and they ban him, take their own champion ( prbably gonna lose the game but fuk it the game is lost already)
  3. Troll... if they think that they can just ban your champion beause they dont like him.. Hell take soraka mid then.. For all you know the game is already lost

Which requires you to play a game (at least 15 minutes, most likely at least 20 minutes, as this troll will refuse to ff) out and waste 20-30 minutes of your time. "Post game screen" is a shit choice (no offense to you) and Riot can't muster up their collective 10 brain cells to come up with any sort of reasonable solution. Pretty pathetic on their part.

Hey buddy, I agree with your sentiment that Riot should give us a pre-game report option, but can you lay off the personal attacks like saying they have 10 brain cells and calling them pathetic?

That sort of behavior drives them away from the forums and makes it less likely for them to see posts requesting features like a pre-game report button - which I'm certain both you and I want them to implement. Don't be a part of the problem of bad blood between Riot and boards posters.

Sadly, I thought that myself too for a while, but every ticket I submitted about behavior outside of the ability to use a post game screen report (dodge, friended me then I stupidly accepted and they flamed me and threatened me etc), support still always told me that "We can't do anything about this. Use the post game screen."

Had the exact problem but they were 4 guys premade. (Im mid) The ADC tells me to go support which i reject ofcourse and he bans my mid. Thought alright he is just a dick and highlighted another champ and it got banned aswell by the top laner and i understood they are all premades But at the time i had only 2 decent champs i could play w/o feeding so i just left the game The problem with these kinda situations is you have to end the game to report them or you can file an hour long ticket to one of riot members. But honestly it doesent feel “rewarding” because at the end of the day i dont even know if they got punished.

My point is give us an option to report them in the lobby so the riot members can chech what happened in champ select. And give us a notification if someone we reported got banned.

What you went through with those players really sucks dude, I'm not sure what else you can do besides submitting a support ticket and making a post here. Support tickets are the best (if only) way to get this sort of thing dealt with, and so I suggest you do that.

Well Riot is going to let their system ban them in 6 months then say tribunal was bad because people were getting banned 6 months after their offense...

idk what's so hard about dodging or sitting through an ADC game. Both situations you end up wasting your own time though. in this situation the person wastes their time and is basically requesting a report.

Report for inting/feeding (Forcing your teammate off of their champ is deliberately causing your team to lose), and make sure you mention pre-game.
