Three months should be ample time to regain Honor Level 2 from Honor Level 1. That said, it can vary from person to person, so here's some advice to hopefully get you in a better position to make that possibility more a reality:

1. Try being positive, avoid being negative. Even if it's as small as just saying "GL/HF", "WP", "NJ", or "GG", or actually going the lengths to type out positive messages, being positive will show reform, and, of course, showing anything but negativity will keep you from being validly reported, which can slow/halt Honor progress.
2. Honor your teammates. It's a very small thing, and it doesn't immediately or directly benefit you, but it will add up. Getting Team Honor Bonuses can definitely help you regain Honor quickly, but it requires everyone in the group to Honor someone. It may not be you in some matches, but as long as everyone pitches in, everyone can get more Honor from a given match.
3. Put forward your very best. This goes hand-in-hand with the first point, but I feel it deserves to be its own thing; Show your teammates you're worth Honoring. Don't ask people to Honor you or otherwise try to force the matter, but display Honorable behavior for your teammates. Reassure them if they're having a rough match-up - or stay positive if you're in the rough spot. Try to keep your team aware of things - enemy positions, contestable objectives, etc. - and, of course, just overall try to be a good guy.

Keeping to these three bits of advice should help make the climb back to Honor Level 2 a fair bit smoother - and set up a decent baseline so that you won't have to scramble for it again in the future. Best of luck to you.
