Is there a need to mock the opposing team?

I have seen this happen a lot. When a particular team is winning they will start typing very patronizing words like "I'm so Sorry that I picked [insert champ here]" or spamming their mastery. Once or twice its fine as a joke. But it soon starts to wear off. Many don't realize that they used to be quite awful too i.e. noobs

I really hate this practice. Kicking the enemy team when they are down, just makes one look like a bully. Recently in a match, I had 3 players who were friends. They obviously steam rolled the enemy team thanks to their communication. But it just didn't feel nice winning like this. It felt bad. They would constantly type in all chat some of the most patronizing comments I've ever seen. Like "Oh I am so sorry. I need my master lvl 7" or "Aww man I didn't you were going top by this champ, I would've gone some one else. (Obviously not the exact comments but the tone was the same). When my jg and I told them to stop being such jerks or overconfident, their reply was simple. Cuz they were noobs and told us to stop supporting them

I know league has an awful community and many complain about its toxicity. But by laughing at an already losing team is not going to improve the reputation of league's community

That is what makes winning so fun though.

I would suggest turning off all chat. It helped me a lot with not tilting as much by dealing with enemy bs if I'm having a really shitty game.

Tilting your opponent is a viable strategy Get ahead, say something like "its not their fault for losing lane, blame your jungler" now the enemy team is bickering between themselves. Bickering team is too distracted to notice you continuing to sweep them GG FF@20

Provoking enemies is just a strat, that is sometimes even easier to win with than just being good at the game :D

but trash talk is half the fun of league

Trash talking and heckling are a part of almost every game, not just league... is it necessary, definitely not.

Is it accepted as a regular activity of sports and games in general? Yeah...
