New rules for ranked gameplay (my suggestion)
Hello dev team and others,
I would like to suggest a massive overhaul to the way punishment is enforced for ranked play. I say this because trolls, griefers, and intentional feeders really create a negative gameplay experience. My suggestion is to enforce season long bans from ranked play for accounts that are shown to be any of the above. I say this because I see time and time again that in Bronze league, despite worse players overall, at least there are not too many trolls. Once you hit silver, the outcome of the game about 50% of the time is decided on if there is a troll on your team or a troll on the enemy team. To be clear, I am not speaking of people simply having a bad game. I am talking about the people who get upset because their champion was banned and decide to admittedly in chat flame then pick Nunu ADC or the type of player who ignores the team requests and just does their own thing. That is not in the spirit of the game and has no place in a ranked ladder matchmaking system. I nor anyone who wants to enjoy a ranked game should have to deal with not only playing the game but also managing the psyches of others playing the game and wondering how to not step on anyone's toes. I think a season long ban is more than appropriate as anyone facing a ban like this would think twice before doing any of the above and anyone coming back to the next season will learn their lesson. Overall it would clean up the season quite quickly for people who actually want to play and enjoy the game to not have a toxic experience.
Thoughts?
