I just witnessed something so toxic that I am at a loss for words.
Not gonna say any names due to the rules that apply here, which for the first time in my life I curse to be so, but this is a story no one will forget anytime soon.
So, I was playing on my smurf, all fine and well. my team got smooth with champ pick, we had solid crew yadda yadda yadda.
the game starts, and suddenly, in the all chat, we see this one guy asking for us to Int and let his team win because, and I am still baffled this actually happened:
- He feels mental and has been "therapeutically" advised to gain a confidence boost, so he wants to feel better by winning. But he wants to really win, guaranteed, to convince himself he is actually good at this game.
Lo and behold, almost everyone in the 10 player lobby cracks the hell up, as you'd expect because in a game, in THIS game, no one with half a sane mind would believe such atrocity.
but here comes the real kicker. The guy starts talking about how he is suicidal and that we deserve the death he wishes himself. For not letting him win in a blind pick, in a moba.
This...This right here is probably why so many people have an active issue with EUW's general behavior. I'm feeling blasphemously ashamed of humanity over here, for people to go THIS low for a game.
I have no words for this, and I would have happily reported the guy and taken screenshots if my client hadn't crashed just before we surrendered, causing me to unintentionally skip post-game lobby and enter to the main menu.
I am feeling a very new, very sensitive level of insulted that people are actually entering these deep waters of depravity and desperation over a video game, and it's company persistently promises change with a working, but majorly ineffective bot program.
#The reason I write this is that I need someone to tell me what is worse:
- the guy who pulls this kinda stunt
or
- That he, and by context anyone with similar if not same ungodly audacity or even a WORSE attitude, can just keep returning without any improving because we have a punishment system that easily gets played around by just starting over, which has become VERY easy since the new noob-friendly adaptions Riot made this season.
Whats the use of the IFS if nobody can take it serious enough to improve by choice, except those few unlucky idiots who spend all their money on this game only to lose it over self-entitlement. These people are the only ones who feel the actual consequence of being banned, nobody else really does. Yeah, their Ego is hurt because they were told by a robot they are in the wrong, but that is literally about it.
Fucking Hell, Once I hit send I need to call my therapist, I need to consult my emotions over this new level of low with a professional to calm down. Never in my life have I seen such scandalous behavior before. Or even heard of it. Worst of all, I am in EUW, I have seen and witnessed a lot of shit on different servers and to about half the people who read this, this won't even be a surprise at all! EUW is after all Riot's crown jewel of no-mans land where you meet the worst of the worst.
Holy fucking shit, I think I am taking a break from league until I am mentally over this mess of a scenario. I can't repeatedly rant it out on here.
