Right when you said "ManBearPig916: reprot maokai support" You can be reported.

It seems to be due to a very little known rule. You aren't allowed to ask the enemy team to report one of your players. That is strictly against the rules. It wasn't really monitored much in the past but now it is. It's to prevent a bunch of uneducated reports because "Report (X champion) for flaming" and the other team decided to believe, causing up to 5 extra, uneducated reports since what actually happened is unknown.

You're also harassing him, saying "Get him permabanned." Whether he deserves it or not is irrelevant, it's that you're trying to coax the enemy team into reporting your teammate. I'm fairly certain this is why.

I will admit that this isn't too bad, but there are a few things to note.

First, don't ask for others to report a certain player. For one, it's considered harassment since you are threatening said player with reports. Also, the system doesn't look at the raw number of reports against a player but rather looks at the percentage of games that player has been reported in, so having multiple reports against someone in a single game is treated the same as have a single report. Lastly, each person should only report based on their own experiences, not someone else's. If you say "report X player for being toxic and harassing us," well, unless X player has brought it into all chat, the enemy team has absolutely no idea if this is true. From their point of view, you're the one who is harassing X player, not the other way around. So, all in all, if you feel someone should be reported, just report them yourself and don't say anything about it.

Second, while the Maokai may have been bullying someone else, you retaliate against him by bullying and harassing him back (i.e. constantly asking for reports, and even calling him a dumbass). It doesn't matter what others are doing or who starts it, Riot's policy is this type of retaliation is never acceptable. The proper way to retaliate/defend yourself is to mute/ignore the toxic player and report them after the game. If you retaliate against their toxic behavior with your own then all your doing is making the situation worse and all reports against you in that game will be valid.

Lastly, while you may have only received the chat logs for one game, unless it's something very extreme (which is not the case for you), you don't receive a punishment for just one game. You are punished when you show a pattern of bad/negative behavior in multiple games

Of course, you can disagree all you want with what I mentioned here, and that's completely okay. You may not agree with this at all, but I just want you to understand that these are the rules that Riot has set in place.

Also, something that is irrelevant to why you were punished:

Do not share accounts. It is against the ToU and is grounds for a ban. And if your friend is new to the game, he shouldn't be borrowing an account anyway, he should make his own account and play the Tutorial/bot games so that he can become more familiar with the game.

I didn't know about that "little known rule" to not request bans. How come I see it almost every other day I play league?

I just want you to read what I said and tell my why I deserve 25 games worth of silent play and 1 more tick towards a permaban, since Riot is getting serious about bans.

If you tell a team you're chat restricted and won't talk much, trolls will report you just so you can get permabanned or chat restricted again sooner.

I'd say a chat restriction is fair. You were being a jerk and you deserve it. What really does it for me is you were trying to get the team to gang up on another person and mass report mao. It's not like you would get restricted for this one chat log, it would be an on going problem.

I'm chat restricted for 25 games thanks to a bad mouthing mao kai who chased away a teammate and harrassed me as well.

I was even sticking up for the ADC and supporting her through this harrassment.

I asked my TEAMMATES to report Mao, NOT the ENEMY TEAM! How is that even bad. My own teammates read the same dialogue I did!

Yea, read my logs. I didn't act toxic in any way. I just wanted them all to report mao kai for bullying.
