Have you ever taken a break from the game due to frustration?

Should probably say first that I don't take this game very seriously. I don't care about ranked and am a generally casual player. But... Yes. Frequently. I view this as a game, and I feel that games should be fun. If it stops being fun, I'll take a few weeks, a month, or even several months off and spend my free time doing something else. It helps (at least in my case).
I haven't played much since February (aside from a couple spurts).
Honestly, I have a hard time convincing myself to bother queuing up since the game quality is usually horrid (typically a one-sided stomp and at least one player being toxic).
Honestly, I'll probably just play a few Flex Queue games before the season ends for rewards. Even if I perform horribly due to lack of practice, I doubt I'll finish lower than Gold 5.
Yes but only for a day or two. Sometimes when im tilted ill hop on a second account and play some lower ranked games to get a groove back. This usually helps get out of being tilted.
I did with ranked games. I'm just so sick of the skill level discrepencies between players.
It is an absolute shit storm when 3 gold players get stuck with people still in their placement games. Even when fed, it is impossible to carry if your front line melts because they do not know how to position properly. I stopped when I hit gold in all 3 ranked queues.
EDIT: I had a rammus jungle build Wits end as his third item. When I asked him why, he said "stfu". Seriously. Fucking Shit Storm.
Do it, it helps prevent super tilt. Worked for me, stopped playing for like a month because of it.
Meh, by breaks are norms, Aram or URF.

If you are taking a break due to frustration, then I think you are taking this game WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. Yes, it's a competitive game, but why waste your precious energy by being frustrated? Unless your a professional player, you should care less if you lose or win. Important thing is to enjoy the game and have fun. I hope you feel better soon!
Hell yes I have. It isn't even like a "fuck this, I'm taking a break from this shit game" ..its more just that league hasn't been fun for a certain stretch of time so I don't even feel like playing and I go play stupid starcraft2.
Depends on the ranked losing streak.
But yes.
I don't take break, but when I go next game I just mute all.
Lol I always take a 15-30 minute break before even considering getting into another game. Take a few minutes just to let my dogs outside, or even grab some water, and do some healthy walking around to blow off some tilt. If it's really bad, I have a steam library full of laid back games to play that make you feel like a winner regardless of the situation (Try the Portal series, and HL2 series on the easiest settings possible)
not from frustration but i took a couple month long breaks due to boredom from the game
We all have bad streaks man, I had one last night. Yes, I do take breaks from the game and go play single player games like MGSV or Dark Souls 3 from time to time. I think we all do.
I had a few stints where I've left LoL for consecutive months due to a large percentage of the player population being needlessly scurrilous, ostensibly treating a Normal game's victory as life-threatening.
Things have been more positive for me these days, for a big reason: "Refusing to Communicate with Team" is no longer a reportable offence. This way, I can now type "/mute all" at the game's start and not be/feel reprehensible. I still use and remain open to hearing pings, while being as much of a team player as I can be. Most of the chatting I see is just flaming; most strategies can be more quickly communicated through pings, by Alt+clicking on the HUD, or by clicking on parts of the TAB Menu.
Positive things said in chat are often as cursory as "gj", whereas flaming can go on for a full paragraph. I'm not belittling "gj", but rather elucidating where the verbal energy of many players goes.
If I start my first game of the day really bad like for example, I just got out of school/work and I hop on the ole computer and start playing my first lol match as idk lets say nasus and I'm goin against teemo, I start off pretty good but later in the game I'm goin 1/9/2 when usually I would go at least 4/1/4 and on top of that my teammates are blowing up on how I fed making things worse when it was just a bad game....a bad start. So if I had a game like that ^^ I would get up and take like and hour break from that ugliness because once I have a really bad loss the rest of my games will be even worse.
I can tell by your tone/attitude in your OP that you need to.
If you aren't playing the game for fun, then why are you playing?
Seriously, take a break...go play some other games...try out some new ones.
Watch, you won't even WANT to play League, or at least not seriously. I literally haven't even finished my Ranked PLACEMENTS bc I've had nothing but trolls ruining my games. I hop on and play some ARAMs or whatever fun mode is going on, which are also more convenient bc I don't find myself stuck in an hour+ long game trying to carry some feeders to a W that they don't even deserve.
Yeah this is imo the worst meta in history of league, I am here since season 1 and I finally fucking quit 7 days ago. Not permanently, I play 1 game in 5 days maybe, but untill RIOT fixes something since the games are absolutely horrible, I wont play regularly for sure.
I have. Several times. Each time I come back, I see the game with a fresh outlook. I've taken multiple breaks (not just due to frustration) and it really does help. I usually try to stay in the loop to some degree since things are constantly changing. That way if I do decide to come back, it's not as much of a learning curve and just because I enjoy reading up on /r/summonerschool.
Oh yes definitely. As a super competitive person I tend to get frustrated easily whenever I and/or my teammates constantly underperform, which in turn leads ne to making mistakes that I normally wouldn't. By taking a break (and swallowing my pride) I can come back with a clearer head to hopefully break my 50 match losing streak (exaggeration I know, but still though).
