Constructive Inting?

Just wondering if anyone has run across this term. Recently, I saw NEACE's video relating to his Korea trip and he described a practice that he (and Cowsep, apparently) have described as "constructive inting". So, what I am asking is this: what is it, and how would you recognize it if you saw it?

If it is Korea, my guess is that they are referring to 'teaching your jungler a lesson' when you do not give the blue to the mid laner as the jungler. They'll run it down mid 'as a lesson'. This is my best guess, but honestly, 'constructive inting' doesn't sound like anything beyond just being upset that you didn't get something you wanted and are going to feed because of it thus somehow improving someone else's knowledge. I cannot imagine much that would be constructive about intentionally feeding. That doesn't mean that it doesn't exist I guess.

My guess is it's one of two things:

  1. You have a player who refuses to cooperate with the team. It could be a jungler who comes to your lane with wimpy ganks that do nothing and then taxes your CS. It could be a mid laner who keeps roaming to the side lanes and feeding. It could be a support who keeps taking the CS in the bot lane, or refuses to help bot lane and roams elsewhere. Since I'm a support main, I'll go with "mid laner coming to bot lane and feeding, baiting me to waste my summoners and spells, and making my ADC miss farm trying to help with the gank".

Lux : "Ryze stop coming bot and feeding, we can win the lane on our own, you're just making it harder." Ezreal : "Ryze, we've got this, just stay mid." Ryze : "stfu noob i'm gonna keep ganking bot i'm helping" Lux : "Seriously, just stay mid. We got this. Ryze : "fuk u trash scrub i do what i want" Ezreal : "dude just stay mid lane" Ryze : "stfu boosted ape" Lux : "Ryze, if you come bot again I'm gonna int feed." Ryze : comes bot Lux : dives turret and dies Ryze : "wtf lux" Lux : "i warned you, if you come bot any more I'm going to int"

  1. The other possibility is a training exercise for playing from behind, where you intentionally feed to let your opponents get ahead and then try to play from behind and turn it around.

Hmm. I'm not really sure who's video you are talking about, but this definitely seems pretty sketchy. First of all, I don't think there really is such thing as "constructive inting". It's inting whether the player that's doing it thinks its for the better or for the worse of the team. In fact, I'm sure half of the people that do int think it's because they're helping the team/ one person get better, i.e.

Bard: Sorry about that KS, I needed gold on the kill Yasuo : Nah its ok, just don't do it again

5 minutes later Bard accidently takes kill again Yasuo : "WTF DID I SAY, BRONZELORDS NEVER LEARN THEIR LESSON. THAT'S IT, I'M GONNA INT, AND THIS'LL TEACH YOU NOT TO KS FROM THE CARRIES IN THE FUTURE".

AKA the supposed yas player in this situation thinks he is actually helping the team, hence "constructive inting", by making sure bard won't KS in the future.

So when you see anyone int, for any reason, just know that it's reportable and it's most likely not a good thing. Just go after the game and hit them up with a report.

Or at least this is what I think, not sure if I got the correct message from your post.

That would be like purposely engaging/taking bad fights and being a teamfight but not doing anything in it.

It isn't running it down mid but it's being a bad teammate lol

If it's when people go into a fight and do nothing, then I see that A LOT. In fact it's probably one of the things I report most on. How many times a guy went in to a teamfight, started nonstop pinging us and wasn't helping us at all and caused us all to die.. wayyy too many times.
