So, when does Leaverbuster trigger?

I've had some bad luck with connectivity recently. About two weeks ago, while messing around in a Bots game in a coffee shop, I got hit with unplayable amounts of lag about five minutes into the game which led me to cross the street to a library to continue the game. I returned after about ten minutes of being AFK, but was still warned for leaving. Then, a couple days ago, my block lost power during a ranked match, causing me to leave after only about four minutes into the game.

I've not yet been punished for this, but with two leaves in only a few weeks, I'm a bit paranoid about what my current status is, especially with bad weather headed my way this week. Does anybody have hard numbers for when Leaverbuster kicks in? The official page is fairly vague about it.

no statement about time leaver buster system detail . From my knowledge, if you leave game >2 minutes / not doing anything (afk) , leaver buster system start counting and recording . there was decay time but be aware Dc - ing or afk in ranked.

Thanks for the input. I know both of these matches count against me, but the link you provided (which I had previously visited) doesn't give me many specifics on WHEN I break the camel's back.

Will one more dropped game or even a few minutes of outage knock me into low priority? I'm really hoping to avoid that.

in the beginning leaverbuster had lots of issues, but overall now, if you go into the games with the idea that you should never leave a game, versus a 'keeping score' type of mindset, then you'll be fine.

If you know your connection is bad, you should not play games that involve other people. I can't believe they still punish for leaving bot games, if that's the case, they need to get on that.

Understood, but it was a bit of a freak occurrence. My whole block dropped power in a mild rainstorm, which I couldn't possible have anticipated.

I'd never intentionally leave a game, and I'd never play a real (non-bots) game in anything short of an environment in which I have confidence that my connection will hold. But here I stand with two somewhat recent strikes against me, and I wonder how close I am to a bad situation.

then your good, IMHO, riot has enough 'padding' built into the system, and I wouldn't worry about it.

I can still count on 2 hands the amount of times I've left a game.

Thanks, I appreciate it. At the moment, I'm nervous to queue up when it's raining outside. I'm feeling a lot better now.

That's not what I said. I did a Bots game in a Starbucks that I typically get adequate service in, and lagged out. The ranked match, and any game I every play against real opponents, was in my own apartment, in which I get good service.
