Hey Riot, honestly, thanks for the hextech restrictions for non-reformed players. It's a great move.

So, I have only been playing a couple months, but I was warned that the community could be rough, and boy, was that right. League has a serious problem with toxic players. I have relatively thick skin thanks to several years of playing other online games, but even I get occasionally blindsided by a player's words to the point where I'm actually shaken or disturbed.

Suspensions and even bannings seem to have only moderate impact. People are capable of making new accounts, and indeed often have several active. Perhaps they're confident they can avoid punishment. Perhaps they're prepared for it. I'm not sure. It's like how, in the US justice system, mandatory minimum sentencing laws are frequently demonstrated to not actually reduce crime.

But now? You hit potentially toxic individuals at their bottom line. I now get to enjoy products that they can't get. For MONTHS. You made being a player in good standing something that truly matters, and you even had the balls to make this determination retroactive, so that somebody punished a month before Hextech Crafting went live that wasn't considered "reformed" still can't participate. I love it. It's a master stroke.

It would have been easy for you to make this new content available for everybody, but you guys have shown real vision and guts to take a stance against the toxic players within this community. I have high hopes for Hextech Crafting to make a real dent in the numbers of people willing to ruin the game for others. Thank you.

League has a toxicity problem because you can bait people to become toxic and then report them.

Just wanted to share that this thread made it into the PB team's group chat and really made some people's day a little better. Thanks for the kind words. :)

League has a toxicity problem because they only thing they do to address it is hand out chat bans/permas. You also sound like a pretty big dweeb lol.

It's completely unreasonable. There is no reason for a player to be locked out from gameplay rewards just because they may have slipped up once in their past.

All it takes is 4 reports for a player to get chat banned, even if they're a generally good person, and now they have to be reminded of it every day. Everyone has their bad days.

Praising Riot for something you don't understand or are on the receiving end of is simply childish and ridiculous.

New player Queue is just going to get flooded with people making new accounts. Now, it is even better for those folks because they will at least get some skins back through the system instead of paying the price of having to buy them again. What a poorly designed system lol. The new player system is literally the blight town of this game. Every change they make to behavior encourages players to make new accounts and start over.

There is nothing you can get from hextech chests that a toxic player can't get as well. Whoop dee doo. Keep patting yourself on the back for nothing, when you get perma-banned for calling someone "poopoo-head" based on the principles of Riot Lyte, let's see how awesome you think it is.
