Just wondering - if a player says "GG EZ" at the end of the game, is it reportable? Seems to be a bit antagonistic...

Riot has stated that it is a punishable offense.

It is unnecessarily antagonizing and unsportsmanlike.

It is like spitting on an opponent instead of shaking their hand after a game.

No they haven't, the cornball arbiters say you can report for it.

Show me one thread on here where someone posted their chat they got restricted for and its gg ez only, you won't find that.

While the AskFM account has since closed, this was Riot Lyte's response regarding this issue.

One of our philosophies is to try to not dictate what's OK or not OK in League of Legends unless we absolutely have to. We rely on data like Reports, Honors, social media, the Instant Feedback System and Tribunal to help determine the standards of what the community believes is OK or not OK. This is why all of our systems are intentionally designed to be community-driven, because we want players to have the ability to invest in and shape their own community. In saying this, looking at the data, "GGEZ" is considered a negative term, and is reportable. Players generally agree that the phrase is rarely used in a positive context, and is a pretty sour way to end a match.

Thus, if the community treats "GG EZ" as toxic behaviour and reports it accordingly, it can and will be punished by the system.

It has been considered punishable behaviour long before Lyte or the new punishment system. Even when the Tribunal was active, it wouldn't be uncommon to see reports for it.

Well to be fair, most people who say gg ez are gonna say other unsportsmanlike things. Just because you haven't seen a reform card with only that on it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Also the fact that only a small portion of the community uses the forums, and an even smaller portion posts their logs or even make posts about it. Still, I do agree with you lol I doubt anyone's ever been punished for ONLY saying gg ez

Thanks EndlessSorceror. I suspected as much - esp after the recent actions on Overwatch concerning the phrase.

Such things should not be punishable. At best, and I mean at MAXIMUM, it should lead to a chat restriction ......

I honestly don't understand why your reply has 3 down votes when the person complaining about someone friendly teasing him should. Honestly if people are offended by "Gg ez" then they should get off the internet.

Why report someone for saying that? I get the issue with flame and all but if he says Gg ez you shouldn't really take it to heart.

Well some people that I have experienced say it, normally say it when a match ends and we ended up with 1 or more AFK or DCs in a normal 5v5 I don't see it as much.
