Can I go Backwards on the Player Standing regarding Reports?

Can I stay silent throughout enough games, weather enough false verbal abuse reports (mainly from those who think I did a poor job laning or jungling, who want to lie on the report), and make my way back to a good standing? I'm about to finish a 25 game chat restriction. I want to go back to ground zero where the next offense is 10 game restriction.

I'm learning to just read hurtful words and not reply. I'm learning to read lies about me being toxic and them requesting to get me permabanned, and I'm just ignoring it. Will this all blow over, and I will be able to keep my LoL account active going foward?

Yes, you can improve your standing by going 3 months without incident. So if you just got a 25 game chat restriction you would be back to neutral after 6 months of keeping your nose clean.

Neurocat talked about the escalation system when it launched here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/Boqd81O0-upcoming-upgrades-to-chat-restrictions

Also, just so there isn't any misinformation, it takes 3 months to drop down one tier of penalties, not to 0.

No. when you get chat banned the system is looking for signs of improvement in your behavior. So when you remain silent throughout an entire game you give the system nothing to go on and in some cases a while back this resulted in an extension of the chat restriction in place because the system was unsure if that person had reformed at all.

Just say some nice things during the game like "good job" or "gg wp" and stuff like that, and avoid anything that could be considered harassment or negative and you should get back in good standing with the report system.

edit: did not read the last part of your question. I am fairly certain that at the beginning of a new season your disciplinary record gets a reset, but I'm not 100% on that.

Well all permabans are reviewed by a person before being executed. Without chat logs its hard to judge what made you recieve the chat restriction was for. You seem like you want to reform which is good. I would keep in mind the following:

  1. You can't be banned for not chatting, that's what the ping system is for.

  2. You can ask for a chat restriction from Riot and they will most likely give it to you, I have yet to hear them deny one. This way you can't be verbally toxic.

  3. /mute is your friend. If they are going to be mean then there's no point in having them unmuted. I'll sometimes just /mute all and that makes the game go really nice for me, especially if I'm having a bad game.

  4. If someone on your team is asking for you to be banned, that is a bannable offence.

Shit happens sometimes and we all rage, its the nature of the beast. You really seem like you want to work on getting better and that's awesome and I wish you luck. It's going to take work, and quite frankly I'm working on it myself. What really helps me is playing with friends, especially if we have Curse or Skype going on. I really do wish you luck man. If you need help feel free to post of the boards here again. XD

You aren't ignoring anything if you are reading it and feel hurt. The damage is done, so don't let it get any worse. Mute, report, move on.
