Yo, Riot i "afk'd" a ranked game last night and didn't get punished for it or anything

I mean the power went out in my house, but honestly my personal circumstances shouldn't have a bearing on following the SC. It even warned me that I was going to get the time penalty before I closed my client because there was no point in trying to reconnect. Like it's cool, I'm an adult, I can face the consequences for my actions.

But my main point is that if it didn't happen for me when i "afk'd" who does it happen to?

People who afk frequently enough. Once in a blue moon situations happen, the system is designed around that.

So first off, what is Leaverbuster?

Leaverbuster is a game protection software used by Riot Games to prevent people from leaving games as they occur

**Well how does it do this? **

Great question! Leaverbuster takes into account games within a certain range, I don't know the range so we'll just call them "recent games"
With a few exceptions! For example the first three afk offences on any given account it will actually issue a "warning" as you have never encountered a problem with afks before
If you haven't afked in any "recent games" you won't be punished by the system, people who continuously afk / dc in their games will get busted by leaverbuster
Riot may enable a "No loss" mode (I forget what it's called) In which all disconnects that happen during the timeframe are exempt as it was a server end issue (most likely)

I do not work for riot and as such any of this information can be wrong!! (so don't hold me to any information given here!) This is just how I've encountered the system since having started playing the game more than six years ago. I hope this helped you!

LeaverBuster is tuned to not punish people for the first offense. This is one of the "situations" that were in mind when designing LeaverBuster, to make sure it wasn't punishing for extreme circumstances.

eee Riot yu have bad sistem man ,i chose mid and top i am suport wtf ,and all idiot who feed or afk in game is big problems,yu must to make somthing with this players*[zombie-brand-mindblown]*
