Chat restriction For having a good time

So, the Game 1 could be thought of as I was being toxic (though i was just kinda defending myself but riot doesn't support defending yourself) but I shouldn't be getting chat restriction for Game 2. I was "roleplaying" Jhin in one of my games because... why not? Then as a joke the Leblanc started to copy me and i was telling her to shut up in a fun way, cuz we were all having fun (i can't speak for the other team though bcuz they got crushed), so i don't think that Game 2 should have anything to do with me getting a chat restriction, like... give me a 10 game chat restriction instead of 25 for just Game 1... Like come on.

Asking people to mass report a player is considered harassment and is not acceptable behavior. It is also not necessary.

  • Punishment is calculated per match, not per report. 9 reports are no more effective than 1. If you feel the need to report a player, do so quietly. Telling them they will be reported will more likely result in them playing worse; every way you look at it, it hurts you, not them.

  • Telling players to "shut up" or "fuck off" is obviously unacceptable. If you are having problems with what someone else is saying, just mute them.

As of right now, punishments are dealt in a "scaling tier" sort of fashion, with the tiers as follows:

1.) 10 game chat restriction 2.) 25 game chat restriction 3.) 14 day ban 4.) Permanent ban

Basically, the system doesn't really look for how bad you were, but rather just if you did anything that is punish worthy. If it finds something punish worthy, then it gives you a punishment based on your punishment history. Once you are given a punishment, your next offense will land you at the next highest tier, regardless of how "minor" your offense may have been. This pretty much means that severity really isn't taken into account. The only time severity matters is if Riot finds your specific case to be extreme enough to escalate you straight to a 14 day or permanent ban.

So, for your case, I'm going to guess that you recently received a 10 game chat restriction. This means that your next offense (which is this one) gave you a 25 game chat restriction, as that is the next tier in the punishment order.

Lastly, as a side note, while you may have only been sent the chat logs of a few games, that doesn't necessarily mean that those were the only 2 games that lead to your punishment. The system isn't designed to send you the chat logs for every game that got you punished, only the more recent ones, with a max of 3.
