Concerning one-tricks.

Please be respectful of your team and dodge if you don't get your onetrick.

Let's start with the lobby.

I had a Zilean one-trick. Somehow his Zilean was banned on the opposite team, and he said: 'I'm a onetrick. I don't mind dodging, it comes with the territory'. And he also said that if his Zilean is banned, he can either support or dodge. I am a support main. I've been playing support for many seasons now. I'm capable of playing other roles, but my highest carry potential is in support. (I'm also rusty in other roles). I decided to be nice and give him the benefit of the doubt, with the warning that I might play passive.

One of my teammates piped up that he had a 40% winrate on Zilean, and to please dodge.

Apparently this is the point where the onetrick got upset, 'changed his mind' and refused to dodge. We went into the game.

I was focusing on laning (my opponent was obviously better than me. I got one kill due to a towerdive and she started roaming and snowballed.) That said, I wasn't the only lane to fail- apparently the onetrick and the adc were constantly arguing and playing poorly as well.

Basically it was just a bunch of arguing back and forth. My team and I are understandably upset because the onetrick, at first, agreed to dodge, and then 'changed his mind'. Maybe he wasn't actually trying to play the game to his full potential. Regardless.

I reported him for negative behavior and got a popup that someone was punished not two minutes later.

But the entire post-game screen he was telling me I 'have to grow up and have a thicker skin' and that I can't expect people to just bend to my will. Talk about needing the thicker skin; I'm not the one that decided not to dodge because someone brought up something as petty as a winrate.

I really want to submit a support ticket with a replay, but I don't think anything will come of it. I'm just bitter and upset.

Dodging is a courtesy. Ya know, considerate social behavior. Which tends to be a quid pro quo sorta deal. Bringing up winrates is a douche move, and I don´t blame the guy on reneging on his statement of being willing to dodge.

Your team is not understandably upset.

Why would I dodge if he said he was going to? As said many times, he never once said "Nah, I'm not going to dodge after all." We were all under the assumption that he would do what he said he was going to. Because 'dodging comes with the onetrick territory' in his own words, and that he didn't mind doing it.

If you tell your family you're going to buy some milk after work, and someone tells you 'No, don't worry, I'll get the milk, I work closer to the store'. So you don't get the milk yourself because you're expecting your family member to do it. Then you get home and he decided not to get the milk, without texting you or anything. You have a right to be upset, don't you?

Some stranger walks up to you and is like: "yo fam, I'll give you $100 if you get in my white van over there". Are you going to believe that? That's a much more realistic example of what it's like believing what someone is saying on the internet.

Just because you think someone is a "One Trick Pony" doesn't mean they have never played another champion before. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover my friend.

I've mained:

Nami (S3) Lee Sin (S4) Riven (S5) Udyr (S6)

I've played about 90+ champions every single season on this account for the last 5 seasons. Not to mention, I have 4 or 5 other accounts which I've also played about 200 games on each the past 2 seasons (playing a variety of champions such as Diana, Kennen, Aatrox, and more). You can judge my account name (oh he mains Ekko, hope) or even check my match history (oh he has a lot of Riven games).. but at the end of the day, I am far from a One Trick. The same is most likely true for A LOT of people.

Some people just like one champion more than others, that doesn't mean they can't play anything else.

Maybe they just a one trick wannabe, or aspiring one trick.

I was pretty bad at zyra until I played a tonne of games on her, and now I'm much better with her than my other champs.

Zilean isn't exactly an easy champion to play.
