Why League is poisoned.

I had a bad losing streak in ranked mode, swamping my elo.

I'm not really in the mode to play super serious, now--knowing I'll have to win 20 games before I'll mean anything--so I'll relax, and unwind with a normal match, and play something fun, like a double mage bot comp.

The rage from the rest of the team, was intense! Simply for playing this.

This is not a ranked game. Ranked play, should be serious: it's for something. Your rank. There needs to be a place, where it's okay to play a goofy build.

We gain ELO in ranked play, and that's what we do in ranked. Maybe there needs to be a place where ELO is put away, and we aren't really playing for anything at all.

And it can't be custom games: custom game mode is full of hyper competitive custom players, and groups that specifically meet up to play with another group. And I'm not shifting through custom mode to find a match: I need a button to press to play LoL!

This is a game. There needs to be an "okay" place to play a really goofy build--not playing badly: just playing it. If you can't be goofy, then League is just work.

two sides of the coin my friend. I main support. I always do goofy shit when i play normals. First ones that come to mind are yasuo support. ezreal support. darius support. sion. karthus. ect. I really dont get flamed all that much.

The odd time i do yes. but rarely.

It's not that ppl care about what you're doing. What they truely care is whether they can find delight or not. They crave for the pleasure of stomping enemies and getting worshipped, and when they can't do that they try to find a legit source to blame, non-meta playstyle in this particular case. Eventually they're implanted with the impression that they won't get easy peacy game when they see non-meta stuff, so they frown upon those based on reflex.

Heya Your attitude kinda annoys me. It is true that in Normals we dont have a visible rank, but you should strill try to win. Don´t get me wrong, i have no problem with you playing doublemage-bot or weird stuff like that, that is totally fine. But the mentality that normals are less "worth" then rankeds i think really hurts them. I agree with you that you should not be flamed for playing someting unusual, i mean where to try if not normals. But i still think that you should not just see them as less important than rankedgames.
