Apparently repeatedly calling someone the N-word isn't worthy of a punishment according to the IFS

Because a lovely gentleman I just played with spent nearly 30 minutes harassing me in game.

And I DID mute him in the beginning, but when I unmuted all at the end for the gg's and whatnot and he was still going at it.

Edit: That last bit is for people who are going to say "just mute him." I did and I still knew he was saying crap like that in game because I unmuted all in the end. I reported after the game and no notification was received meaning my report didn't trigger a punishment. Ergo, saying racial profanities in chat wasn't worthy of a punishment.

I wanna know why all these incredibly toxic people say they've never been banned when they're seriously ruining the game. Not like calling people mean names but like intentional feeding, griefing and the like. Are they serious? And if they're telling the truth then why the hell do i get punished for getting mad at them when they're allowed to fk up the game.

? You can't get punished in the middle of the game, that isn't what the "instant" in IFS means. It punishes after you report them after the game.

You won't always get it. If they were repeatedly using racial slurs, rest assured they will be banned if you report for Hate Speech.

I think you misunderstand instant feedback

Let me do a timeline example for you:

Toxic Player enters Game 1 Racial slurs all over the place 4 teammates, (A, B, C, D) report Toxic Player

Toxic Player enters Game 2 Racial slurs all over the place 4 Teammates (E, F, G, H) report Toxic Player

Toxic Player enters game 3 Racial slurs all over the place 2 Teammates reports (I and J) reports Toxic Player

Game 3 triggers punishment Players I and J gets notifications that Toxic Player has been punished. Players A-H get no notification.

You may have been one of the players A-H. Just because you do not get a notification does not mean your report meant nothing.

Actually, based on personal experience, J would get the notification but I would not. You have to be the last one that reported them in the game that got them punished.

I had a game with a premade friend where he reported someone and I submitted my report after (I typed a description and he didn't) and I got a notification that the person had been punished and my friend didn't.

If you use it in game, expect an imminent ban.

There's no system in place for evaluating whether or not you're "allowed" to use certain slurs, so being black yourself is a terrible excuse. Especially since I know plenty of black people who aren't a fan of that word even when other black people use it.

Only the final reporter gets a notification of a punishment. If others reported him, they may have been the one to get the punishment.

The system isn't perfect, but the conclusion you've reached based on your experience is a bizarre reach. Just look at these forums; people get banned over slurs constantly.

Yeah I'm just frustrated that let's say this was the first time this guy was using racial slurs. Why isn't one game of repeatedly using this kind of profanity not punishable to at least some degree. Like a warning or a minor 5 game chat restrict in case he really was just having a bad day.

That aside I find it unlikely that a player would have a clean record and then all of a sudden jump to using racial slurs. Meaning that this shouldn't be the first time someone reported him for slurs. So imo they're way too lenient about slurs and other stuff like that.

It totally is punishable. Hell, he probably got a 14 day ban from it, if not an automatic perma. But like I said, you may have not been the one to get notified of his punishment.

Only the most recent reporter gets the notification of a punishment. If the offending individual spammed racial slurs and 4-9 people reported him, chances are slim that you'd be the one to be notified. But that doesn't mean a punishment didn't happen.
