Apparently repeatedly calling someone the N-word isn't worthy of a punishment according to the IFS

Because a lovely gentleman I just played with spent nearly 30 minutes harassing me in game.

And I DID mute him in the beginning, but when I unmuted all at the end for the gg's and whatnot and he was still going at it.

Edit: That last bit is for people who are going to say "just mute him." I did and I still knew he was saying crap like that in game because I unmuted all in the end. I reported after the game and no notification was received meaning my report didn't trigger a punishment. Ergo, saying racial profanities in chat wasn't worthy of a punishment.

? You can't get punished in the middle of the game, that isn't what the "instant" in IFS means. It punishes after you report them after the game.

I think you misunderstand instant feedback

Let me do a timeline example for you:

Toxic Player enters Game 1 Racial slurs all over the place 4 teammates, (A, B, C, D) report Toxic Player

Toxic Player enters Game 2 Racial slurs all over the place 4 Teammates (E, F, G, H) report Toxic Player

Toxic Player enters game 3 Racial slurs all over the place 2 Teammates reports (I and J) reports Toxic Player

Game 3 triggers punishment Players I and J gets notifications that Toxic Player has been punished. Players A-H get no notification.

You may have been one of the players A-H. Just because you do not get a notification does not mean your report meant nothing.

Only the final reporter gets a notification of a punishment. If others reported him, they may have been the one to get the punishment.

The system isn't perfect, but the conclusion you've reached based on your experience is a bizarre reach. Just look at these forums; people get banned over slurs constantly.
