You don't get freebies to afk and ruin games. If you KNOW you have something which could pull you away from the game at literally any second, don't queue up. Play something single player until you are totally free.

If you have to afk until everyone else is level 11 while you are level 1 you deserve afk consequences.

There are totally random things that happen and people can't prevent that so ya sometimes someone goes afk and that's just life. However when you KNOW you are responsible for stuff (on call for work, pizza coming, need to leave for class, cooking stuff, TAKING CARE OF A BABY) it's very obvious the chance of you needing to afk is super high and just play something else where you can get up and go

Where did you get the impression that they get freebies?

The leaver buster system is completely impartial, you leave, you get punished. End of story.

I agree with the op. If you have a child, you just have to accept that you can't play as much as you'd like- if at all.

I have a three year old. I've never left a game because of her (missed a queue here and there but that's it). I make sure I have enough time. You being completely insensitive isn't ok. People who leave, regardless of excuse have to deal with leaver buster. Simple as that.
