Guys you can change that by thanking a teammate today. After thanking a teammate vote below in the poll to show people that their thanks does matter.
I think you mean support and or jungle is a thankless role, as both of them are supportive roles. But I do agree. Save an ally, to the point I died, and get no thanks. You bet if I left them, they would spam ping me or rage in comments. I always thank my allies when it is needed, it is just finding the time to do it.

We were in a 4 v 5 in aram and their Ezreal gets an easy kill on our Ziggs and types ? in chat. Ziggs and I then proceed to focus the shit out of him and win the 4 v 5. Ziggs thanked me after the match was over.

Every role is a thankless role. You're playing a video game, not volunteering in a soup kitchen. Otherwise, sit down and do your job the best you can. Only reason you saved them is because you want to win anyway. Not like this is an act of kindness.
