MODS please wake up and MOD M&G

M&G board get given to much of a free pass. As long as a picture or a GIF is in there thread it is treated as a MeMe. One picture in gameplay related thread does not make a meme. A bunch of pictures in a thread that is obviosuly a Roleplay should not mean it gets posted where ever it wants.

M&Gs are being treated like GD 2.0. They use it host in house drama and as a place that they can post what ever they want.

It is time for the mods to actually look at the subject matter of these posts instead of looking if a picture is there and/or if it is safe for work. Other sections get judge for actual content and this standard should be applied to M&G

If you believe a post doesn't belong in a sub-Section, report it for Incorrect Board. We'll review it per the guidelines given to us by Riot and either leave it or remove it.

here is an example

the OP even notes that it should be in RP. There are way more of this shit going on. It is blind favoritism at this point. Been reporting this style for over a week now and none of them been addressed ( well at least they were there 14 hours later, i stopped tracking after i go to sleep.)

The types of posts allowed in Memes & Games are being reviewed by Riot. When we are given updated guidelines for that sub-Section, we'll look to either leave or remove posts like that based on their decision.

That is BS, giving a example that you guys are not modding is not naming and shaming; Plus it is a public forum. How else am i supposed to handle this conversation without proof. This is not a witch hunt it is pointing you a mod to a direct topic that i can quote from on a very public topic.

If you believe the Moderation Team is not doing its job, then you would submit a ticket to Player Support with the proof. Riot can then look into it and give us feedback.

If you post something like you have done here, you're basically asking for me as the Visible Moderator to give you feedback on what we are or aren't doing based on what Riot has instructed us to do. I did that. You're welcome to not like it, but that doesn't change the situation or the rules of the Boards.

I understand completely. It's just up to Riot to decide what type of culture each section gets to develop and maintain and the Mods have to abide by that.

If you're suggesting it's being used by all the mods, he has said several times that he's the only one that uses that account (he volunteered to be the visible mod). There are other mods but they do not actually use the boards and they don't need one account (they might not need an account at all for all I know).

He(they) could be lying, but there is no purpose in that other than to lie.

Make a generalization about the type of topics you wish removed instead of naming a player or linking a thread and you'd get the point across and stay within the rules.

The Gameplay threads tend to either be jokes on stereotypical gameplay threads or are posted by newbies/gameplay boarders and get downvoted into oblivion pretty quickly.

Yeah, there was some in-house drama a little while ago, but that's over now and it's gone back to standard memeing. Memes and Games is honestly a very vague section in terms of guidelines, so it makes sense that few things would be touched.

And if the board community isn't upset about a post, then what's the point of being mad about it?

cause it is showing favoritism. Why do M&G get to break every rule under the sun, but if another section did this they would ahve all their posts removed and be eventually threatened with perma bans. Also M&G is quickly becoming a grab all for what seems like the mods chosen ones.

It would be one thing if like GD and Role Play it was hidden unless you specifically went to that section. Instead it is visible content and whats worse their could be legit conversation points; but make counter view and you get "dude this is meme and games" & "why so serious" for legit conversation. Even Nami has said that M&Gs are devolving to GD 2.0

I hate double standards. If i am going to get quacked for X everyone else better be held to the damn same standards. I would argue that cause M&G is supposed to have the lightest content that they should be more strict on content so that it will be the drama free zone that it currently is not. Content that has clear other locations (like role play and game play) should be forced in to those zones. Slapping a picture in a thread does not equal meme

Also the point of making Role Play visible was so people could easily join the sub section and have more activity from the community. Making role play threads in M&G defeats this purpose.

not meaningfully. They take the low hanging fruit of name and shame or being rude. Beyond that they fail most of the time to do anything.

It's not that they fail, it's that the guidelines Riot set for M&G are very loose.
