Should a player condoning trolling be reportable?

We just had a game where our jungler picked Ashe, then AFKed in fountain for the majority of the game. And the enemy team said they weren't going to report because it was quote "normals". To me that does not justify that behavior. Normals, ARAM, Ranked, trolling she be punished regardless and when you openly support the troll I feel as though you should be equally as punishable. LOL already has a huge problem with trolls and this only amplifies it when you go "meh, it got me a win so who cares".

The enemy doesn't have to report. One report is the same as more than one, it all flags the game to be reviewed.

As long as you report at the end of the game, it'll be reviewed.

Why should it be equally punishable? Reporting is a personal statement. When you report someone, you are telling Rito that you don't think what this person is doing or saying is adhering to the spirit of the Summoner's Code. That is your opinion, if Rito agrees with your opinion, that person will be punished (if they don't, your report/opinion/statement will be thrown away). Just because someone (the enemy team) doesn't agree with your opinion doesn't mean they should be "equally punishable". If they don't find that behavior unacceptable, then you wish the afk on their team next time and move on. Reporting someone is not compulsory or should it be. It is a volunteer action.

This is inline with the idea that toxicity is subjective. Some people may find a certain action is toxic, while some may not. Why do you even suggest people who do not find certain action to be toxic should be punished? They will change their tunes soon enough when the person doing that action is on their team no doubt. But in court, if 12 people vote a certain person to be "not guilty" even though all the evidences are against him, do you feel those 12 people should be "equally punished" as well???

Of all the ridiculous whiny threads on this board, I find this the ridiculous-est. (yeah yeah most ridiculous)

This concept is trawling some pretty murky waters for me.

First, the AFK idiot should be reported and punished. I think we all agree on that.

I do think, however, that punishing others for not reporting is probably a bit too far in most instances. If someone simply says "meh, I don't care" I don't think they should be punished for not wanting to spend time on a report. Also if it is the enemy, they are probably pretty jazzed that they played 5 v 4 the whole game. It isn't super sportsmanlike, but they didn't cause it.

I MIGHT be on board for small punishments for people who actively encourage the behavior though (e.g., typing 'yeah keep doing it' in chat or giving suggestions on how to be a bigger dick). A couple hour freeze on them might make them not actively help a troll in the future.

Welll, first off: "who cares" isn't exactly condoning. [Edit: Upon reading somebody's official definition in another post, I stand corrected. Apparently condoning also includes tolerating. In that case change my original point to: Passively condoning is a dick move, but I wouldn't say it's punishable.]

But if they are actively encouraging it? Sure. I'd say that's unsportsmanlike behaviour for sure.

first off don't ask for reports, because one (yours) is enough, and even that is not necessarily necessary, as if they are afk for a longer period, leaver buster will get them.

Cause banning people for not reporting is totally reasonable
