This isn't the first and won't be the last time your efforts to control players behavior has backfired and just punished the users of your game.

This was a totally normal game, everyone had picked, the timer counted to 0. I waited 2 minutes for the loading screen to open up and nothing. What does a reasonable person do at this point? They assume everyone else is loading and restart the client.

Enter my link. I am now branded a que dodger by your gamer nanny department. I am on time-out and cannot play the game. Mind you I can't even remember the last time I actually just quit out of a champion select for any reason.0

I've been against punishing players via automation for some time, and advocating that your slow systems of picking and game preparation are the real problem. I hope someone takes this matter seriously as it's absolutely unacceptable practice to punish innocent people for game crashes and the like.

---- Edit: I'd also like to add a hypothetical scenario here. Say I want to dodge a champion select in the future because someone is being beligerent / annoying, or I just get busy with something else and decide I don't want to play anymore. Now I have to weigh eating a longer ban or just dead weighting my team in game to lose faster while I do what I want elsewhere without the fear of being reported because "I'm trying" and not chatting negative. Not solving problems gents!

So what do you propose? Riot tried not punishing queue dodging some time ago. The result was everyone had to go through 5 champion selects 5 minutes before finally joining a game.

Lies, you don't get a 15 min queue dodge timer for first offense.

Even if we ignore for a second that this isn't even really a "proper" punishment, are you really saying that dodge penalties should be given manually? Don't get me wrong, it sucks when something goes wrong on Riot's end and you get punished for "dodging", but it's obviously entirely 100% without a doubt literally impossible for Riot to dish out dodge penalties manually. Do you even understand how many people they'd have to employ to give out dodge penalties before the dodging person starts a new game? Even reversing automatically given punishments before they run out would be an impossible task.

And if you are trying to say that Riot shouldn't punish dodges at all, you clearly have not been here when the punishment was lower. Just to be clear on this: Not non-existent, merely lower. I can promise you, it was horrible, and I very very much prefer occasionally having to wait 15 minutes due to an error on Riot's side to the alternative.

So you dodged twice in the same day. It happens. I don't see the problem.
