General Question. Do people take the Punishment system Serious?

This is gonna be a very vurnerable topic for some so let me clarify. The system works, without a doubt. But more and more people are acting toxic or just out of the ordinary, and the number seemingly does not decrease at all.

In recent games i noticed that when people are informed about possible punishments they take it with mockery, and i'm beginning to be convinced that such is a General case.

So my question, Do you think people take the punishment system any serious? From where i stand, people don't take it serious. They know they could be punished for toxicity, or feeding but they do it anyway because to them the system isn't inefficitent, but it's a joke.

Leading up to that question, i further ask, why is that the case? Why do people mock the punishment system? What does it take for people to actively start taking the consequences of their action serious? And don't tell me "IT takes a permaban" Because most people don't learn from one, they make new accounts and just repeat their behaviour, either out of denial for them being at fault or because of some misguided sense of revenge. stuff like "i got my account banned now people cant enjoy the game".

What do other people think? Does the Punishment system Need some Kind of awareness upgrade? An intensification maybe? What would it take for people to take the rules more serious?

Nope, they all get very surprised when they're banned and edit their chatlogs so it doesn't look as bad.

I'm sure some people take it seriously. It's hard to have evidence to state it as Riot is the only one who could tell us. But judging by the topics made in this part of the forums we can say there are people who think it's a joke, and only when they are permaban do they realize th error of their ways. It's a sad way to change but at the very least it's nothing something as serious.

i'd say the non-toxic people tend to take it more seriously than the people that are toxic. people that are toxic think it's a joke until and even after the get permabanned. there are some where they think it's a joke until they get a 14 day ban, and those are typically the ones that don't realize what is and isn't okay or are terrified of losing their account, they're generally decent people that get frustrated more often than the "non-toxic".

well its a free game. so to a person who hasnt put money into their account, even a permanent ban might not be a super big deal.

it is pretty much the same game at level 3 as it is at level 30. personally i enjoy the leveling process more than max level anyway. i like the feeling of making progress and unlocking champions that i like

Simply put; some do, some don't.

The people who are trying to be obnoxious in-game may or may not believe in it. Most likely what is going on is they are doubling down because they don't want to be told to stop by you and then show weakness by actually doing what you say. So to be obstinate and to not break their bravado they pretend to not care or they will joke about the punishment system.

In my opinion it's more a matter of doubling down out of idiotic pride than of actual lack of care or respect for the system. But there are probably people of both types out there, and you can never tell which they are because they will act exactly the same.
