I was so hyped to get my honor flair thing but tbh it doesn't even feel like I earned it. Whenever I saw old honor banners in champ select and in the loading screen I thought "wow this must be one honorable person" and they usually were hella honorable. Now it just feels like some random person honor'd you even tho ya did nothing and there's your flair.
It only lasting one game and not showing up in champion select is also pretty lame

KoKoboto1 votesMy cousin had a helpful honor and he doesn't fit into either of those categories. I guess it depends on your experience though. Every honor ribbon I met was super honorful.
LostFr0st1 votesYes, there were some. But since the way the old system worked was "keep getting those specific honours or you lose the ribbon" they would eventually need to beg for honour or get overtaken by other people near the top 2%.
I liked my green ribbon too, but begging for honours to keep it wasn't my thing (not saying your cousin did, but the ribbons I saw Season 5 and S6/7 did that.)

blackid1031 votesNo its not, people act nice at the beginning of the game to try to get honor, and when shit hits the fan they get hella toxic and act as if they are in the right because they are an honorable person

It's usually true for me as I play with friends and we all honor each other, but sometimes we'll group up and all honor one person for some terrific play. I don't get it every game and so, it's not technically something you get just for participating.

Agreed, but you will still rank up just with enough time invested playing the game, as has been the topic of MANY posts since the new honor initiative. That was my point.

Reket DeAlk1 votesSometimes it happens. I play a bunch of ARAM games and don't usually type, but still end up getting the "Tilt Proof" honor. I always sit there and think "How do you know I wasn't tilted?"

With that being said, I can say that the previous honor system was, at first, very easy to get a loading screen flair on. Then, once people started complaining about how easy it was, Riot made it much harder to get. At that point, it was near impossible to get the honor flair no matter what.
I feel like this is the middle ground. You get honor from people not for being an honorable person, but for not ruining their game. And that's how I think it should be. You get rewarded for, at the very least, not making the game a horrible experience for people. With that being said, I have yet to see someone reach honor level 4 yet. I'd imagine it requires much more consistency.
S7 ONLY TWITCH1 votesI agree. I had a ribbon before-hand. I never get angry in league and am generally supportive. I notice that normally the person who carried the game will get the honors. Basically because they copied the overwatch system but called it "honor" that's what it feels like.
