A Serious Message to All Non-Ranked players

Just because it is not a ranked does not mean everything is forgiven.

EVERYTHING That is not a custom game or Practice tool is serious, yes even bot games. While many of you disagree, do mind me that this is within the ToS to not endanger the gaming experience of other Players for the sake of your own enjoyment. That does not just involve trolling, that involves ANYTHING accountable under the term "Sabotaging your team".

Meaning, if your team is serious about this, you should be too. ONLY under the consent of ALL of your allies can you go into a game with mid nami or ap riven and walk out of it. If a Person Plays the game for it's purpose, it means no trolling, no group enforcing them to do what you order. NOTHING that will ruin that persons experience.

It is one Thing to see people say "Chill it's normal". It is another to see someone use that phrase with fanatic obsession for an excuse. AKA everyone who does that. Sure, if someone gets a bit tilted along the way saying that phrase might be a way to say "It is not a ranked, so if we lose, not that much is lost." but do mind that for some people, a loss is still a loss, even if absolutely meaningless.

If the game is not consensual, you have no excuse at all to be a sadistic prick. None at all. Some people draw the joy of this game in being victorious. If you wanna get a good gig off of ruining that, then League by all due respect is a place you should leave and not come back to. Not only does that behaviour direly increase toxicity amongs the selected group of Players called Your team, it also can trigger you to be under investigation for a punishment regarding griefing and trolling.

The "It's just a Normal" Line is a very bad excuse for trolls wanting their own license to roam free. Remember last April fools where riot tried to prank us by telling us blind pick enemies were just improved bots? They left one specific line in every game chat at the beginning. Such being that the normal Punishment courses are still in Action regardless of it being a bot game.

What does that tell us? That ruining a game for others is under no circumstances allowed, even if such is a Bot game.

So next time you wanna try some stupid shit, and not kidding, i mean some actual stupid shit like ap riven, consider practice tool instead of trying to get an entire lobby to be pissed at you and report you for trolling.

Riot created practice tool with the precise goal for it to be used. Take inspiration from Vandiril. (I can't believe i am saying this). Everything he tests, he does in the practice tool not in a normal game. He is a good example that you should utilize ALL the Tools riot gives.

TL;DR: Just because it is not ranked, it is not okay to troll. you can still be accounted for what you do, and still get punished for trolling. Ruining people's game for your own fun is prohibited.

Edit: Please do not come with the "off-meta and troll difference" Thing. While some off-meta picks are considered okay BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY WORK, most are still a sore sight to a lot of Players and are still gonna be considered trolling to them. Do mind, trolling is not solely what YOU define. it is what your teammates define too, and if they feel trolled over what you do, you cannot simply say "i did not troll so i am forgiven". Trolling is not self-judgeable. Again, some few selected cases are okay, but i will only remind you of the Singed topic last year. "Off-meta" almost got him banned because he played his pick despite people disagreeing to it. So yes, consent is required. If you do not believe me, believe riot's own words directed to the guy who was a public case embodying this topic from both points of the view.

No. Yo are mostly wrong.

Yes, INTing and harrassment in bot or normals IS punishable.

But playing off-meta (whatever that IS anyway) is NEVER punishable.

"ONLY under the consent of ALL of your allies can you go into a game with mid nami or ap riven and walk out of it."

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Wrong.

It is not trolling to play a non meta build.

True, trolling is not allowed in normals. But non meta picks and builds, no matter how crazy they are, aren't prohibited.

Normals is for trying new things and having fun, while you sound like you're tryharding your ass off in it like you won't get dinner tonight if you don't win

The same way it's not your responsibility to change your play-style for a team that favours play over victory, it's not a team's responsibility to change their play-style for a you/player that favours victory over play.

im sorry every single meta build you worship was originally none meta. kogmaw used to be meta jhin. and caitly. now twitch i..leona was meta now janna is.....every meta thing you hold dear to your heart was originally unmeta until someone proved it worked. period. so saying using a none meta build is trolling or needs consent is bogus. because quite frankly it could become meta depending on how well it worked.

I agree with some of this post but you can not dictate player builds as troll if not meta.

Builds are not reportable and all builds have come from experimentation.

Trolling and ruining a game don't always go hand in hand. People establish trolling as even building or playing off meta. You see a player with Ghost/Cleanse while playing the champion with a legit build; what do you assume: trolling or ruining the game? Should the team lose with everyone on like or similar KDA/CS lines; if fingers get pointed, what's the excuse: trolling or ruining the game?

It may just be a normal game but what impact does it have on anything but a player's ego or behavior should it even need to be necessary? The only thing really prohibited about that is not being a jerk about the matter.

The thing is, nowhere in the game does it say Riven must build AD. You wrote a lot so I didn't read it all, but your first example of someone breaking the ToS is mid nami or AP riven. People can go off meta if they want to. Of course there are limits, but Riot can't punish people for having a lack of insight on the meta. Sure these people aren't doing what's optimal, but there's really no rule against that.
