I'm very concerned for the league of legends community in the fact of toxicity as much as you folks at riot. I have recently been reported on several occasions by people that simply dont like me and are very good at convincing members of the team (and the other team) to report me. For example being extremely toxic then you and your buddy go on all chat and say to report me while im just over here asking for a gank... And then i get muted.... how is that right?

Also, why are you muting and banning players that are being toxic when its the players INSTIGATING the behavior that really causes the toxicity in the first place. I have never seen someone get banned when they follow me around the map because i banned their champion... Need an explanation riot. Better Yet, Fix It.

they do investigate why a player might be toxic however just because someone is being toxic to you does not mean you should return with more toxic beahvor

You cannot be suspended by erroneous reports. If you said nothing, then there's nothing for us to punish and we throw the report away (more or less).

Retaliation to instigation is equally punishable and reportable, hence your dilemma. Employ instant mute at the first sign of toxicity or you'll be going through this until you're perma banned.

Im sorry but that's just not true, my main is banned for 150 ranked games because i'm "toxic". Jesus christ i cant recommend someone use a certain item that will help the team without getting banned.

Also, when i get muted and it shows me my "evidence" it leaves all of the context of your other teammates and just focuses on the actual words you said. Well im sorry but i'm not gonna let someone ruin my game. I'm gonna tell them how we can win the game. If they don't like it, you bet your ass im gonna say something because its a waste of my damn time to play this game if i can't have fun. It is not fun going 6/0 and grab both top towers just to have bot and jungle 0/23 together. We get creamed and i get reported for complaining about a shit team.

Theres a reason why other games dont care about toxicity.

There is no reason to be nice to someone that is purposely ruining the game for me. Ban me if you must but that horrendous.

There's no sensible reason not to instantly mute someone who isn't being nice to you.

You're clearly making the choice to retaliate and engage in a debate, so you reap what you sow and you'll continued to get reported, chat restricted and/or banned until you learn that muting toxic people is the only way to proceed without putting your account in jeopardy. The who, what, where, why and how you retaliate and debate is irrelevant.

Obviously, but here's a secret you haven't figured out yet:

Spamming pings, berating teammates, retaliating to trolls often compound bad play into worse play.

There's nobody that 'shouldn't be playing ranked' with one exception: players with poor connectivity.

Everyone else is best suited for ranked because the playing field is most level (ELO) so your premise is false.

Congrats, you had one good match. And it was a Normal game.

I don't read you complaining about the 4 games in a row as Aatrox where you had more deaths than kills: 2/5, 4/6, 9/10, 4/10 - perhaps you're not suited for ranked games either?

Thats cute, did you watch those games? there was no teamwork and honestly i was having connection issues in that stretch as i live in an apartment complex that apparently has shitty wifi. Yeah i might have had a bad game, but atleast i was trying to win for my team, in those games i still had good numbers other than my kd.

Okay try this on for size, when im muted i talk almost at all because i cant really help when i say 1 sentence. BUT, can you explain how my win percentage when im muted and not muted do not change at all. I may get mad at my team but i dont call them stupid names. i tell them what they did wrong and how to get better. if they bad mouth me, i bad mouth them. If you think thats being a toddler you really need to consult our politicians.

Your teammates are in the same ELO as you, so you're in no position to be telling anyone anything. You're not a coach, if they don't ask for your advice don't give it - focus on your own play instead. Berating your teammates with e-advice on what you think is correct helps no one: the struggling player will continue to tilt and the 3 other teammates don't want to read the junk from the know-it-all player every time someone messes up. Get over yourself.

dude they arent just having a bad game, they dont know how to play their role or characters, IN RANKED. and yes they admit it. just got muted on my smurf account after going 19/3. Literally getting muted because im having a good game and i cant carry it.

The reason that you only see what you were saying is because you are not being banned for what other people are saying. Regardless of what they did, you retaliated in a way that was punishable and managed to rack up enough reports in past games so that it resulted in a punishment.

You can't go around blaming your actions on other people. Are they deserving of punishment, very possible, but its not up to you to deal with them. Don't retaliate, be respectful, and report at the end of the game. If you don't break Riots terms you won't get banned, simple as that.

I never said anything about how good I am. I'm complaining about being muted and banned because of trolls when they dont get banned for trolling ever. thats unfair. Them trolling me makes me pissed off. so just ignore them? thats a waste of 45 minutes and i get half the xp and ip from fucking losing. Yeah this game is so fun!!

Sorry, I realize my mistake. I should have specified that my comment was fueled by your other comments in this discussion. You know, the ones where you claim that you are essentially being punished by Riot for not carrying hard enough and that your teammates are a bunch of toddlers.

i dont think ive ever won a game and got reported for toxicity. These games can swing very fast. If i was toxic i would be getting reported on wins and losses....

Now ^ this I can fully understand and empathize with. What you have posted above is what is at the core of the frustrations.

You can be holding your own, doing your best just to stay even with your lane opponents while the other lane feeds, then one death and BAM! Its your head the entire team wants on a pike.

It took me quite a long time to learn to simply mute them, play on and report them after the match.

Does the previous toxicity I had to use mute for effect my play the rest of the game? YES definitely; but I can tell you one thing it does not effect my play anywhere near as much as if I start firing back.

After the match is over sometimes I really have to retrain myself from entering another one for a while. My natural intention is to immediately que up and wipe that bad match from my mind with a fresh win, but honestly that almost always ends badly and I begin to spiral.

I used to think that reporting did nothing until I finally (yay) got one of those little messages that tells you your report (along with the reports of others) had finally removed one of the many toxic players I had come across.

Unfortunately after looking up the one that started the whole mess I found it was the lesser of two individuals who were insulting me that got banned. Yes it bothers me that they did not get the one that caused me the majority of the frustration but guess what.

That player now has a report tagged to his account that will stack the cards against him the next time he is reported.

TLDR:

The best thing you can do is mute them, and REPORT them after the match, without replying to them at all in any way shape or form. [zombie-nunu-hearts]

Ive played well over 1000 games of league, and i can report confidently that 90% of those games had teammates that were not trying at all in ranked games, literally saying things like dude who cares, and winning isnt everything, are you fucking serious? i get banned and muted because of my competitiveness? Of course im gonna be pissed when i lose a game, who the fuck is happy after they lose? riot needs to get there shit together
