@Lyte Quick Question for my college report...

Firstly, love your (and your teams) past work on improving and encouraging positive behavior within league.

My question is an age old one that always goes left unanswered. That being:

Q: For the toxic people in league, they request as a last resort measure a permanent chat ban (before being permabanned/smited). From your playtests and opinion, why would this NOT be a good idea?

Speculation is that it creates disinterest, or because one means of communications is gone it's harder to judge player behavior...? Just my guesses. Thanks if you have time to answer this. :D

It's a terrible idea. They've already had multiple chances, OR are horrible enough of a person to somehow instantly get a permanent ban. Therefore, there is no need for any other "last resort" measures prior to the permaban, since the permaban is the last resort measure.

Not to mention, trolls who get perma-muted would just troll gameplay-wise instead.

Well Lyte did just quit...

Aside from that, with the old Tribunal, you used to be able to stack up thousands of games with chat restrictions, and people started trolling instead. So I'd say no.
