What can be done about people banning your selected pick in draft/ranked?

Is it a reportable offense?

There are several instances of where this happens:

  1. They want to force someone else to dodge so they ban someone's pick, because they didn't get their role.

  2. They don't like the champion I've picked for a role, and don't understand that it's completely viable, so they ban it. This one is the most concern for me, depending on what I'm playing.

I would like to know if I'm wasting my time reporting these people or not.

As far as I know it is not a reportable offense to ban somebody else's hover but if they act rude once in game a report is a good idea.

You're wasting your time. While it may not be the best in terms of team cooperation, every player is given a ban and can use it however he/she sees fit.

Based on Tantram's recent comment, I would guess that you have a legitimate report if the player banning your pick is clearly trolling you. Otherwise, it would be a pointless report.

Your first case sounds fairly trollish, so you might have a good reason to report the player. At most it would just be a minor tick on their record, though. The second case is just not reportable, because at worst the other player is just making a mistake.

I hate this. This happens to me when i support Sion more often than not. Pisses me off. "Sion is not a support." is what i get. Silver/Gold ADC's are shit anyway. They do not have a right to tell me what I cannot play. SION IS DEFINITELY A VIABLE SUPPORT PICK FFS!!!!!!!

id totally ignore the OP.... i searched his game log, in the last 40 Ranked games he has 0 sion or even support games. So it can't be that big of a problem if he never plays the champ or even that roll.

u are wasting your time reporting these people.

I report these people, I dunno if it does much but I do it. Especially the first case.

I don't think you're wasting your time, but I don't know everything. If you think it should be punishable then report it. I heard that Riot adapts their system every once in a while based off of what people report, so you have a chance to change things for the better even if it's not currently punishable.

Yeah, you are wasting your time reporting them if that's the only thing they did. Anyone can ban whatever champ they want for any reason.
