Than having some salty/angry kid/man child raging at you and trolling for 25 minutes, only to have your entire team and the enemy team turn on them to defend you, then seeing:

"Due to recent reports from you and your peers, a negative player has been punished by the Tribunal. Thank you for helping keep League of Legends a sportsmanlike community"

It went from having a frustrating end to a game with an angry troll, to making me smile a little. Just made me want to give that "bro" nod to some invisible Riot person I imagine watching over my report, giving a thumbs up from behind a desk.

Sadly I've reported legitimate trolls and I've never gotten that notification. :c

Had this the other day too. Made me feel good, like i was helping make the community better. I always report trolls. I don't say anything to them. I just report them.

There's no Riot bro moderating reports. It's all automated. Unless it's a severe case and in need of a 2 week or permaban. But ya it feels good.

Which is why there are so many false positives, just have to reach the thresh hold for the automated system.
