Is it okay to troll toxic players?

So, some toxic Brand added me after a bad match with Zoe, and I got bored, so I decided to troll him. Chat log went something like this:

Brand: You succ Zoe: Omg ty my boyfriend always complains I don't succ enough Brand: I will die if I watch you play Zoe: Please don't watch me play, I don't want my best friend to die Brand: Stick with Soraka Zoe: Banana unana, I left my heart in Banana unana Brand: Stfu kys die (repeats these a lot) Zoe: It's hard to hold a convo like this, wanna 1v1? Brand: No because I don't need to waste my "talents" on you (He literally said this, I choked on my juice) Zoe: Show me your talents bb Brand: You're female and I'm maile, I don't need to, suck a dick(Was struggling to breath at this point) Zoe: I love dicks, they sell great sporting apparel Brand: Wtf get away from me

ANYWAYS I found that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and want to do it more. However, I'm not sure if this is against the rules. Has anyone ever gotten banned from this? (I won't swear or be offensive, just extremely, annoyingly friendly)

Edit: To clarify, I've read https://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/get-started/summoners-code/ and there's nothing against this, but it feels like a risky grey area.

As AlienPrimate mentioned, there's been no cases (in recent recollection) of players being punished for private chat channels (like Direct Messages between friends), as those channels are considered "opt-in". I'm not sure how much or how little DMs are monitored (if at all), but, as of yet, there's no evidence to suggest it is.

All said, I'd still advise you to go about your teasing and shenanigans with caution. It's certainly entertaining, but some of your responses did fall at or around the line of acceptable chat in general game terms. (namely, the first and last responses specifically, though the latter is sort of an odd spot to try and give input on.)

You can't be banned for something said in a private chat as far as I know.

This is amazing! This made a great break from the stress of studying for finals! [slayer-pantheon-popcorn] . I kinda do the same thing in some matches. Just mess around with people and have fun. Like one like I played poppy against a riven, and we had a legit fun time up there. We had a really nice conversation and we didn’t really attack each other.

Here's the issue - the tribunal no longer exists, so if you do anything that can be picked up on by the algorithms (intentional feeding, verbal abuse, etc) they'll likely be able to report you, and the system will most likely punish you.

It's best to just report them after the game, honestly, but if you really want to, you could probably get away with it if you don't say any words that would make the ban bots angry with you.
