I posted one of these yesterday and I'm just a little impatient right now, fix matchmaking; I'm sick and tired of being stomped by obnoxious high elo players. I CANT REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I HAD FUN IN A GAME, just fucking diamond %%%%s in every game I play and I play in a 5 man premade so we're all gold and 1 unranked yet the enemy team always has 2-3 diamond players or above. I just want to play the game for fun and it's becoming the exact opposite of this.

You are gold only in ranked. Not in normal. They are diamond in ranked. Ranked has nothing to do with normals. Its just casual mode.

Blind pick, or TeamBuilder? I've noticed when running as a premade in blind pick, it's far more likely we get overmatched and have a miserable game compared to doing a full premade in teambuilder.

do draft, your mmr will be more accurate.

Yeah normal mmr is seperate from Ranked mmr. Personally I am a plat player who never play normal seriously, I have almost exact 50% win ratio at normal, for like 1250+ games.(like 1254/1252), and I'm often teamed with gold/silver players in normal. So I can say they are probably diamonds who play causally in normal and actually lost a lot there.

orrrrrrr you win a lot in normal, but anyway your behavior in normal should be pretty much close to theirs, that's why you are placed together. Normal only look at normal mmr, it has nothing to do with rank

On the bright side, if you win you'll get a ton of LP. Also, it means your MMR is diamond level. Or are you still on placements?
