YOU ADD A TROLL TO YOUR BLOCK LIST... then Riot, places the troll on your team and unmutes them.

No visual indication is given that this summoner was previously on your bock list.

At the very least, there should be some icon or visual indicator which shows you that you previously placed them on your personal private, LoL client block list.

How does this serve players who don't cheat or throw matches and simply want to be left alone and/or have a choice, with regards to ever being matched ON THE SAME TEAM with an intentional troll which RIOT WON'T PUNISH.

So fine, don't punish them, go ahead and keep thinking that having these people destroy ranked is healthy in the long term (you'll see, every other game in history has done the exact same thing, and ended the exact same way)

BUT AT LEAST allow players with integrity to decide for themselves whether they want to take a risk and play with this person again. This basically spits in the face of the player and puts power into hands of these trolls, who can continue to feed and troll, eventually encountering the same people over and over.

The chance of that happening seems pretty low.

You must have 0 Luck. Make sure you allocate some points into it as you level :^)

this is just troll code response, I see same 'unlucky" response given over and over. Like I wonder, do you giuys have some sort of manual, or does it just develop naturally in various group-think sessions in various trolls forums?

this "highly improbable event" which just happens to occur regularly enough that people post about often.

I lurk around here fairly often of late and this is the first post that I have noticed about this issue.

I have never had it happen to me, nor have any of my friends had this issue to my knowledge.

But then again I rarely have reason to full on block someone.

Can we move past something which adds nothing to the discussion?

Attaching a moniker like 'u must be unlucky' is well known psychological ploy. Similarly, exclaiming, "You weird" etc.

It doesn't matter how often it does or doesn't happen. Why is it happening at all?

I'm not sure why you would happen to have this issue.

It doesn't make sense to me that you would wind up playing the same people, frequently, unless the player base for your MMR is extremely limited.

Which, if you are playing on that account, maybe possible due to your level not being at max yet.

Who knows.

We can sit here and theorize and hypothesize stuff, but there really isn't any point. You won't like or believe the answers.

So let's move this back to a purely design flaw issue.

I've place a summoner on my block list within the client.

Simple User Interface Design theory dictates that you are given indication that something has changed.

So logically, a small icon or symbol should appear next to the summoner name as a visual cue that you have placed them in your block list. Or perhaps the name could be colored differently. There are many possibilities.

Or not? Is it really had to /mute the person we are talking about?

I'd rather have the system make it so that anyone on my blocklist, cannot be matched with my game.

Also, maybe once the new client comes out some of these issues will be resolved. The current client is super outdated structure/coding wise from what Riot has said.

I 100% percent agree with you. Obviously, they might still appear on an enemy team , but you would be spared having to try and win a game you are not even enjoying playing.

HOWEVER, sometimes you have to settle for what you can get. The ideal system will probably never happen. This way at least you can judge whether the risk outweigh the rewards of going into a match with someone.

Becuase except for the handful of people who post about getting trolls "all the time", everyone I talk to about the league says pretty much the same thing, they are rare. I have played well over 5000 games since season 1 and seen only a couple of trolls.

This leaves only a couple possibilities. Either some people run into a disproportionate amount of them through randomness(luck), they have overly broad definitions of trolling, or something about they are doing is making people in their games more likely to troll.

The first is basically impossible to quantify as a user since we can't see any actual numbers on trolls, everyone basically treats the rate they personally see trolls as the rate everyone sees them. The second seems to be the most common thing to me. It basically seems like a lot of people error on the side of thinking people are trolling. If someone is getting stomped and they aren't sure if they are intentionally feeding or not, they just decide yes. The third is probably the most unfortunate since those things that trigger people aren't always really wrong. Some people just rub people the wrong way.

Realistically all three of these things are happening to some degree.

ikr, this guy seen only 2 trolls in 5000 games haha , must have q d up in 5s for all 5000 games. Hell I do ranked teams sometime and there is still a troll on my team . lmao

Unmuting them is a glitch with the block list, has been for a while.

I wouldn't care if they were muted or unmuted, as the point of the mute, is what many people use it for, i cannot possibly remember every troll feeder account:

Seee, I've already forgotten the first one. I imagine it must be frustrating for boosters when their accounts become well known as feeder/game throwerrs, and they have to level up new ones or pay for another name change, to keep people from dodging .

RIOT TO THE RESCUE. Now they are unmuted and you got no idea you ever muted them to begin with.

Seems like more of an intentional "feature"

Well for the record this is a serious post, but since posts like these will never be seen or taken seriously by riot. why even go through the trouble name calling and categorizing me?

It's just simple logic you see. I block someone because I want to. Riot should indicate that a player is in on your block list.

That's all it is. So simple, but why all these responses?

You know I had one guy acted the biggest sh1tlord known to man and added him to my blocklist and this guy was a lee sin main. Game 1 I was the ezreal and he was my jungler. Game 2 I was matched up with the same player but he was on the enemy team and he went top lane lee and I was voli top and the one thing I said is get ready to lose for the 2ed time in a row and I won lane hard and before I took the nexus I said remember that ezreal you said that sucked? Who sucks now!! LOL Best revenge game of my life*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*

...and that's why I said leave it up to the summoner to make that judgement call. I don't have the memory, time, inclination to remember every freakin troll I encounter, so when I add them to my block list, it's just a note to me, not to anyone else, keep an eye on this guy.

If he's in champ select, make sure I don't have multiple trolls, if they are the only potential troll, then I should look up the match history. If he chooses Nunu who has a 45% win rate across league, and this is his first time nunu, guess what, that's a troll feeder and I can dodge.

If not, and our team comp is strong, maybe I'll take a risk

but the way it happens now, I get place back with troll feeder, riot unmutes, I have indication they are troll until match starts. that's BS
