Team-based games bring the worst out of people. League of Legends is NO DIFFERENT.

You guys think people are actually toxic IRL like they are in league of legends? They're not. Everyone is taught to have a filter when they were little kids. Toxicity is the result of the culmination of frustrations and pent-up anger. That filter gets unlocked online because you have anonymity. Also, spend enough time being exposed to certain behaviors and you start to behave in a similar fashion. Some of you guys act like hypocrites because you persecute those who have been caught in the act of being toxic and have been banned yet you guys don't hold yourselves to the same standard. When you make someone else feel unnecessarily very bad, you are being TOXIC. Until this community decides to acknowledge that, we will never be able to move forward. Blatant toxicity used to be the main issue in this game. Now its shifted towards passive-aggression. Toxicity doesn't "disappear". People are just going to find ways to be "toxic" without breaking the rules and then the rules get changed to deal with it.

That's why I can't even stand playing ranked and any summoners rift games anymore. People just act horribly when they're competitive.

EDIT: Go ahead and downvote me. Keep filling your heads with lies.

The community has acknowledged this - look at any of the most recent punishment-related threads on this board and you'll see that people are punished for that kind of "mild" or "moderate" toxicity all the time.

The anonymity factor is the main culprit in toxicity. Remove anonymity and toxicity will go down 95%.
