Can you really get banned for bad games?

So its probably people yelling "I did nothing wrong and I got banned!!" But I feel like I still should ask.

Everyone has bad games. Especially during rotating game modes. A couple weeks ago I was playing out my chat restriction games doing AURF with my girlfriend. Some of the games went pretty badly. Bad matchups. First time champs that I've never played before... you know the drill. Long story short a couple games my kda was pretty bad.

Obviously I am playing to win every time but due to some of the bad matchups or the lack of experience in the champ my deaths are pretty high in some games, even in games we win. I know my account is under watch already since I just got over a restriction, but if someone reports me for inting would that be bannable, even if I wasnt doing poorly intentionally?

I assume riot has access to old replays and can see more than we can when it comes to how players are banned for inting. Some instances I accidentally overshoot myself with the canon and die because all 5 of the team are there but that's a rare occurance and a total miscalculation on my part.

For one off instances like that do they just let it go as accidental as long as I'm not doing it consistently? I want to continue playing aurf but I value my account way too much and I dont want to get wrongly banned for inting since apparently some people claim thats what happens.

You'd have to be doing so bad that it was indistinguishable from inting. Over many games.

Bad games are ok (Rammus ).

Everyone has them. Some people are just very upset and they insist that someone is to blame, and they can not fathom that someone actually got outplayed or anything like that. Not only that, but it is ARURF.... depending on the matchup you will have some EXTREMELY bad scores. Though, I did have a game one time that the entire enemy team nearly kept cannoning in range of my E as Velkoz, and i had a Nami with me.... so it didnt end well for them.

Also, anyone who is not on your friends list will only be able to see your ranked games.

from falling victim to this yes actually you get hard perma banned and they dont release it trust em ive been perma banned because of everything and yet ive done nothing wrong lol

You may get a punishment, but if you were actually playing and it was a bad game only; then they may undo it as a false positive.

Ideally, no, you should not get banned for a bad game.

In practice, if you have a very, very bad game, something like getting turret dove at will and dying every 2 minutes or more often, the system may hit you with a false positive. It may also hit you with a false positive if you play in an aggressive manner where you're constantly taking high risk fights, though that will take a lot of games.

As for whether these bans will be removed, that seems to vary, and will depend on your luck with the support agent that responds to your appeal. From what I've seen, they tend to defer to the judgment of the algorithm, though not always.
