How do i post chat logs?

JhomasTefferson··0 votes·440 views

Literally the title. I want to show the world that elo hell is created by idiots, and the best way to do that would be by posting chat logs. If there's a way to do this, can someone please tell me how?

Edit: this is not for naming and shaming. Im not trying to call out specific summoners, and if theres no way to get the logs without the names I will delete/black out the names. I just want to spread this message and show that there is a severe fault with the system.

Are you talking specifically about a punishment received, or just in general? If it's about a punishment, there should be a "copy to clipboard" button on the notice you receive in the client regarding a punishment. Otherwise, you can generally get one game's logs from the email notice.

If you mean outside of a punishment, then there's not really a good way to do it.

I was chat restricted for calling people scrubs. I didn't know I was until I was in a game. I don't have anything to "copy to clipboard".

I just want to clear my name. I've read the summoners code. There's nothing against telling people they're doing bad. In fact they encourage it. "'When you confront a problem you begin to solve it.' -Rudy Giuliani" is a quote taken directly from the summoners code. There are nicer things I could say, sure, but there are a lot worse things. And I told them what they were doing wrong. That helps them get better. Why am I being chat restricted and not getting hextech loot for saying scrub? This is absolute bullshit and rito should be ashamed of this instant feedback system that punished me just because a bunch of noobs who have no idea what they're talking about reported me, instead of actually taking the time to read the chat and look at the game. And my teammates started the allchat stuff and got the enemy team to report me too.

This was after one of my teammates also said they were feeding, and they ksed me to be worth as much gold as possible to feed the most. I may have cursed once at her, I won't lie. I don't remember honestly. But they cursed at me too, much more than once. I know I held my tongue because I was going to report them and expected riot to look at the chat log. and simply because I was reported more, even though I was right about the whole thing and she ruined the game by feeding, I got punished for swearing once and saying scrubs, which was the primary insult I used, directed at the one feeding member of my team. How is this fair?

Being an asshole agaisnt another asshole doesn't make you less of an asshole.

You can't act the same way as other people and expect to get treated differently.

Also, like you saied it yourself, there was nicer things you could've said. But you still said bad things to your teamates, and that's why you got a chat restriction.

I wasn't much of an asshole. I called a feeder a scrub. I didn't say "You deserve to be gunned down in the street like the braindead scumfuck piece of shit you are." and yet you assholes are treating me like I did.

There's nothing against telling people they're doing bad. In fact they encourage it.

This is where you break the summoner's code by just ignoring several key factors. First right above the Giuliani quote it says "Drive constructive feedback". Calling someone a scrub is not constructive what so ever. In fact is nonconstructive feedback, and calling someone a scrub isn't going to make someone suddenly better. All in all, calling someone a scrub just makes the situation worse for everyone. Saying things like "Sion build armor for that Trynd you're going against" is fine. "Sion you fat piece of shit, quit feeding" is not. See the difference?

The second part of the code which you just decide not to follow is the third part "Facilitate Civil Discussion". Calling someone a scrublord isn't facilitating civil discussion at all.

The third part that I want to highlight is part 7 "Be Resolute, not Indignant"

And my teammates started the allchat stuff and got the enemy team to report me too.

2 things for future reference. Asking for reports, is in fact, a reportable offence in itself. Second, it doesn't matter if you got reported by 1 person or 9, all a report does is just flag your account to be reviewed. This way people can't go around in a 4 man group and get people banned just because they can.

I may have cursed once at her, I won't lie. I don't remember honestly. But they cursed at me too, much more than once. I know I held my tongue because I was going to report them and expected riot to look at the chat log.

The thing is, you weren't punished for what she said, you were punished for what you said. Riot has made it very clear, retaliation is not an excuse to be toxic. Instead, use the mute button and report after the game. If they're flaming you, they aren't saying anything constructive and their chat is not worth having on your screen. https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/207489286#h2q2

I've read that article... id asking for reports is reportable, how can you tell someone to report someone?

I told the player what they should have done in that situation. That is constructive. Saying scrub means someone is bad. If I said to them "You are bad. If you do this, you will be better.", would that be toxic?

I wasn't toxic, unless calling someone an asshole or saying fuck you once and calling them a scrub for feeding is toxic, which if it is, the community needs thicker skin. Why is there so much sympathy for an INTENTIONAL FEEDER?

You don't tell other people to report another person. There's literally no need to do so. 1 report carries the same weight as 9, ergo there is no reason for you to ask for reports.

I told the player what they should have done in that situation. That is constructive. Saying scrub means someone is bad. If I said to them "You are bad. If you do this, you will be better.", would that be toxic?

Let's take a look at you chat logs, I'll post some of the highlights.

JhomasTefferson: scrub ahri JhomasTefferson: she chased azir for no reason and died JhomasTefferson: when i had the kill secured without her JhomasTefferson: there was no reason for her to be there JhomasTefferson: so she was just feeding JhomasTefferson: she is scrub JhomasTefferson: report ahri JhomasTefferson: feeding JhomasTefferson: if ahri had pinged JhomasTefferson: maybe i would have lived JhomasTefferson: but we have a scrub midlane JhomasTefferson: so it happens JhomasTefferson: still didnt ping missing JhomasTefferson: ur laner is the reason we lost JhomasTefferson: you intentionally fed JhomasTefferson: its on you JhomasTefferson: end of story JhomasTefferson: once ahri admits shes wrong ill stop arguing JhomasTefferson: report ahri after game JhomasTefferson: and most deaths JhomasTefferson: she fed JhomasTefferson: yeah JhomasTefferson: and because of that shes fed the most gold JhomasTefferson: she fed JhomasTefferson: im right, she fed the most gold JhomasTefferson: gold matters JhomasTefferson: and shes fed the mosty JhomasTefferson: so she needs to be reported JhomasTefferson: i still wuldnt have fed as much JhomasTefferson: youre a special kind of stupid JhomasTefferson: the more kills you get the more gold ur worth

Looking at your op.gg I found the game you're talking about, you went 1/8/2 on J4, meanwhile Ahir went 8/10/5. That means that Ahri was part of 10 more kills on your team than you were. Not only that, but she tripled your damage and warded just as much as you did. I have a hard time believing that Ahri is an intentional feeder.

JhomasTefferson: ekko ur noob JhomasTefferson: ekko is noob JhomasTefferson: i know im good JhomasTefferson: and im jg main so i know a good jg would have ganked by now JhomasTefferson: u were just pushed for 3 min JhomasTefferson: cuz ur a noob JhomasTefferson: noob ekko ganky by coming thru lane JhomasTefferson: we canty win cuz of noob jg JhomasTefferson: no drag control JhomasTefferson: we flamed when we realized hes shit jg JhomasTefferson: and flamingg ashe for having lag JhomasTefferson: wish i had a jg JhomasTefferson: who knew how to gank JhomasTefferson: fucking coming thru lane JhomasTefferson: ekko JhomasTefferson: gtfo JhomasTefferson: thank ekko azir JhomasTefferson: report ekko JhomasTefferson: absentee jg JhomasTefferson: for having a shit jg i think were doing pretty well JhomasTefferson: Ekko shi t jg JhomasTefferson: no drag control JhomasTefferson: Ekko, ur the bad one JhomasTefferson: u dont know how to jg, thats why yas got fed JhomasTefferson: taliyah outganked u bot JhomasTefferson: ur not better than me JhomasTefferson: nahh, im not salty JhomasTefferson: i know im good JhomasTefferson: just didnt have a good jg this game JhomasTefferson: and u guys did JhomasTefferson: so you win JhomasTefferson: ekko started it tho JhomasTefferson: ekko, you made this JhomasTefferson: game shit,
JhomasTefferson: now lie in ur bed JhomasTefferson: he deserves as much wasted time as possible

In both chat logs, there is no constructive criticism what so ever. All you do is go off on your team and talk about how they're trash and blame them for your losses. In the second log, you keep your team hostage because you want to punish the ekko for being bad? So instead of trying to de escalate the situation, you just make it worse by antagonizing your fellow teammates? How does that help anyone? I'll give you the answer, it doesn't. If you just shut your mouth and play the game, you're much more likely to win.

I wasn't toxic,

Yes, you were. It's actually quite obvious.

unless calling someone an asshole or saying fuck you once and calling them a scrub for feeding is toxic, which if it is, the community needs thicker skin.

While I agree with you that the community needs a bit thicker skin, the community also needs to stop being such assholes. There's a reason why so many people won't touch this game because of the toxic community.

Why is there so much sympathy for an INTENTIONAL FEEDER?

No one is defending the feeder (which I don't think she was given the amount of damage and her kill participation) saying you were wrong doesn't mean that we are defending that Ahri, If she was actually feeding, then you both are in the wrong and both deserve to be punished. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
