Dear Riot, something has to be done against AFK-, troll- and Intentional feeding players.

Dear Riot,

I was in a game as Xayah with my support Pyke, we had a gangplank top and an evelynn jungle... We... also had a Gragas mid... who ragequit after he or her had died two times and then never came back, we all had a troll or an afk before... maybe a bit too often for our own taste.

And I do wonder, why we, as the team that fought a 4 vs 5 for straight 20 minutes, in hopes that Gragas might return, get punished for his or her behaviour. Why do we lose LP, when you can clearly see on this screenshot I have provided, that Gragas was indeed...not there?

Now, I have read the newest addition of 'Ask Riot', where it was talking about handling afk-players and I must say, I'm deeply unsatisfied with the given answers, here's one sample of the text: 'For example, you can imagine a scenario where someone on your team might want to try to get you to rage quit if they think it can save them from LP loss.'

Now my question is, how would you manage to create such mayhem... without being the reportable one yourself? I've gathered some ideas and solutions to this problem.

Ideas:

  1. You say nasty words to that person to make him or her 'ragequit'.
  2. You spam-ping him or her.
  3. You 'feed' on his or her lane.

Solutions:

  1. Harassment is reportable and you are able to also mute their messages.
  2. You could mute their pings.
  3. Intentional Feeding is reportable.

If the person continues to use these ideas I had to create mischief to avoid LP-losses, they will be the one who gets punished in the end.

Dear Riot, please reconsider adding LP-loss prevention in situations where the team has to 4 vs 5 due to trolling fellas, afk people and intentional feeders, it has been going on for too long now.

With Regards, Lord Dominator

Extra: I've added a poll down below so you can share your opinion with me there. After you've chosen an option, please continue to write a comment to explain your given answer on this matter.

Riot thinks there will be people trying to flame or trick people into afk to prevent a loss. I doubt that it's a significant factor, but this is their opinion.

I mean I've 'inted' in a few games to see how effective I could being worth no gold and having people chase/kill me to waste their time - - - For the most part either bot or top got fed off shutdown gold or I managed to push a turret or two, Rammus is pretty good at this with demolish especially with his w

Yes. However in order for it not to be abused you would have to have them confirmed as an actual AFK that wasn't created by you. They need to have the ability to attach game replays to the reports and an additional reports on the AFK that you can click on to prevent the loss of LP. However in order for you to prevent the loss of LP a game replay would need to be attached that would show that the AFK was not caused by you by flaming them or feeding their lane until they ragequit. If you have falsy reported a game as an AFK not caused by you that was indeed determined to be caused by you then YOU lose all LP. If it is determined that the player just AFK'd because they ragequit after having a couple bad plays then you're loss of LP is reversed and the player who AFK'd would lose all LP.

This is the only system I can think of that might be able to work.
