re: mentor queue

i've heard a lot of people on this board suggesting that a mentor queue would be a good idea for new players who want to learn and improve, that they can be matched with more experienced players, so if they have any questions the mentor can guide them in the right direction

although there is nothing like this in place within the league client, recently i've been using lol coaching to get advice from high elo support mains to see what i can improve so that i'm able to fix my mistakes and climb, but i also noticed that the website had an "adopt a noob" section

after deciding whether you want to be listed as a mentor or a "noob" (that word is kind of demeaning but i only mean it as less experienced) you queue up to be matched with someone 2 tiers away from you. for example, since i'm gold in soloq, my "noob" is in bronze.

your noob might ask you to spectate their games and take note of what they're doing wrong, or help them learn game mechanics, you might want to pull up tutorial videos of more intermediate mechanics like orbwalking that most people in bronze don't do.

just thought i would mention this because i enjoy helping other people with the game the same way people helped me when i was new
