How much bullshit are YouTubers allowed to get away with exactly?

Eedat·3/9/2018, 12:34:44 AM·124 votes·7,436 views

I'm not talking about being disrespectful behind their mics. Being a bit of a jerk as long as they don't act that way in game is one thing. I'm also not talking about custom games either.

Not going to name names, but I'm talking about the flood or things like blatant account sharing and trolling. I'm talking about taking a silver player and giving them access to a diamond account to see what happens in a ranked game. I'm talking about straight up trolling like going afk in a bronze ranked game to see if they can still carry. I'm talking about diamond+ YouTubers buying bronze accounts so they can troll and smurf at the same time.

Why aren't any of these blatant rule infractions punished? Do you think high ELO players think its fair that they have a silver 4 midlaner just so some other guy can get YouTube views? How is it fair for someone to straight up troll a lower ELO game just for some shitty clickbait?

You know, I can understand these things being difficult to catch when its isolated incidences. How can we justify these people not getting caught when they upload actual videos of them doing it practically daily on YouTube? What kind of example does that set exactly? How long will they get away with it?

lmao just go to their channel and try not to find a video without a clickbait title, league youtubers just suck in general it's just one "busted" thing after another

but then there's helpful ones like darkk mane that teach me how to play lethality jinx to get the money

Oh how much i despite those "funny" Youtubers rofling over other Peoples Misery. Like a Reallife TahmKench they feast on their Suffering both literally and figuratively (aka getting paid for Youtube Views)

Now that im already on League Youtubers: Remember our favorite "positive" Summoner DiscoHeat?

I used to love him for just doing in LoL what he wanted, looks nice and chilled, which he is in Reallife aswell. Cool Dude with great Music taste that enjoyed League and also made some "League of Children" of People Butthurt, rude or unneccesary Toxic.

But here comes my Problem with him: He more or less forces People to get Butthurt, provocating as much and hard as he can, trying to squeeze even the tinyiest bit of Flame or Tilt out of someone to go all like: "Hey im just playing for Fun and he is toxic lel XD kek".

I can only guess that many People realized this as well and this is why he stopped making "League of Children" or more like, "How much can you tease someone until he erupt all his hatred".

Riot not banning Ghost to Lane for the constant violations is ridiculous. Dude needs his main nuked from Orbit.

I'm more concerned with Redmercy and other clickbait channels. I miss the old days when he made theory/tips videos (which still have over 4x the views of his clickbait ones)

Ghost to Lane? Yeah, I hate that channel, clickbait titles while breaking the TOS.

1wolfpack3/9/2018, 12:39:50 AM9 votes

depends on the popularity of the youtuber/streamer. popular youtubers/streamers provide riot with free advertising for there game so what is the incentive to punish these players.

you could just say you're talking about Ghost to lane

Something needs to be done about gaming culture in general. Too many people think inflicting harm upon others for laughs is "cool".

In fact, In the real world, taking pleasure in the suffering of others is called being a sadist, and is common among psychopaths. There are real people behind the computer screens. I'm not saying there's never a cause for being mean (there's plenty) but if you're doing it just for sport, that isn't funny; it's sick.

Send a ticket to player support with links to the videos?

The people in the games with this person may not know that this is happening unless he announces it in all chat at the beginning of each game. Riot can't watch every single video uploaded to Youtube after all. And with the change in how ads work they can't even look for certain title or something.

Promising Garden3/9/2018, 3:29:14 AM4 votes

True. Idk how they don't get restricted/banned, while having committed the same crime, normal folk do.

420 grams3/9/2018, 1:06:55 AM4 votes

They afk? Seems like boring content.

I know a lot of youtubers, Nightblue3 being probably the biggest one, that will do custom games of him and his diamond friends against silver players and every ap rengar jg game is "OMG THIS IS ACTUALLY BROKEN RIOT WHAT WERE YOU THINKING", but that's still custom games and not a bought account

Jobriq3/9/2018, 1:36:32 PM3 votes

I don't think Riot monitors youtube looking for people to ban

Dad Rock3/9/2018, 1:01:23 PM3 votes

As long as you are not the reason your team is losing, you will climb. The more trolls and afks there are in this game, the more likely you are to climb as long as you are not the troll or afk. There are 5 enemies who could possibly be a silver player for youtubee views meanwhile there are only 4 friendly teamates who could possibly be that silver player. As long as you play a lot of games, these trolls benefit your elo.

Penta Penguin3/9/2018, 6:51:06 PM2 votes

how about that one guy who afk-types paragraphs of rage to Rioters directly in game

or that one guy who told rioters to kill themselves multiple times

or that one guy that starts tilt-splitting and flaming his team in any game where he does poorly

also that one guy named SoloRenektonOnly that stopped making renekton vids in favor of "1000 AP ONE SHOT LEBLANC TOP IS TOTALLY BROKEN??? THIS HAS TO BE NERFED!!!! BRONZE TO DIAMOND PART 40!"

''RIOT IS THIS ALLOWED?!?! NEW CHAMPION DEALING 999% CRITICAL AND PERMA STEALTH! BUSTED item 3001 item 3153 item 3124 ''

heh click bait

Yeah Ghost to Lane wouldn't just shut up for a few seconds. I saw the Riven video, subscribed, once I saw the Xerath one, it's like okay this guy's annoying, unsubscribed.

HalcyonDweller3/9/2018, 6:43:53 PM2 votes

Yeah I'm with you, that's fucked up.

doom bot 82 3/9/2018, 11:23:45 PM1 votes

well none of these really matters tbh,the real thing is when they say stuff like "%%%","kys",........ breaking rules is fine as long as your not toxic.based on riots rules ofc.
