I never use the chatroom, yet I frequently receive "Offensive Language" reports?

I only use the chat room in games with friends. In Solo Q games, I start the game by typing "/mute all" and just ping. I've been playing the game a long time and I have rarely seen anything good happen in the chat room unless the players are all friends before the game starts.

But even though I am 100% silent, I still get notifications after the game that my language was offensive? Why? This has been happening to me since the summer very frequently.

You ping too much?

The League of Legends community are full of childish people who are trigger happy on the report button when they lose. It's an extremely unfair system, but hey what can you do? Riot Lyte ftw

Those notifications are part of an automated fast-feedback system they put in place. In cases where a player truly was problematic, the idea is to be able to let them know right after the game that there was an issue with their behavior. But the system doesn't seem to run any sort of check to see if the reports are valid or not before giving the notification (that would possibly add too much delay). So the warning doesn't necessarily mean your account is nearing a punishment or even that it's in bad standing; it simply means you were reported.

If you know the reports were false, then just ignore it. You won't get banned off false reports. The system is much more thorough before actually issuing a punishment. And reports from players who frequently abuse the system and issue false reports will eventually be ignored by the system anyhow.
