Telling Me On Karthus to "kys in the enemy team"

is apparently 2-week ban worthy even when it's coming from my duo. dumb as hell bot determining what's right or wrong. let people play the game and mute if they don't like it. what is this censorship and thought control? people shouldn't have to worry so much about stupid shit they type in a video game. most people who play league are actually adults and now it feels like the chat is beyond worthless, it's actually a pit of danger for anything slightly outside of what could be automated phrases.

it's a fast paced competitive game and the only people who aren't emotional are the ones who don't care and aren't taking it seriously. treating adults this way feels awful and you already have a chat filter anyway. who the hell is so offended by words when they can mute instantly anyway and they probably won't see that player ever again outside of that 30 minutes? it's so dumb to have such trigger words in a competitive game like that's what REALLY matters and what truly ruins games, not the afks, trolls, inters and passive aggressive griefers taking your camps because you pushed their lane while they were dead etc. Oh no, it's the person who typed 3 letters to his friend! That's the problem guys. It's just a copout to scapegoat this type of shit when it doesn't even actually matter except to super oversensitive people who make a big stink about it and then ruin the game for everyone else by putting even full grown adults on these leashes... which btw are probably shorter than for dogs.

A better way to phrase this would be "die to bait them" or similar - same exact message without any ambiguity.

Yeah, I'm sure Riot will see your intention if you appeal it, but still, it's fairly common knowledge that 'kys' is a bannable term, so there'd be better ways to write that out.

I say 'die' all the time in chat and nothing happens, so I think telling Karthus to just die to the enemy team and do his thing would be better. It may seem like a pointless, more verbose version of what you said, but you have to remember that it's a robot that looks at these things, and they can't really detect that nuance.

Telling Me On Karthus to "kys in the enemy team" is apparently 2-week ban worthy even when it's coming from my duo.

That's an extremely weak argument.

Especially when Riot has been known to reverse a zero-tolerance word punishment when they feel like the context was appropriate. There's been a few times I've seen them reverse a punishment when someone was just quoting someone else.

The rest of your post is mostly ranting about how you believe people should be allowed to say whatever they want without consequence.

But you're not, simple as that.

Yup I've been saying it for a long time. But people here seem to think that so-called hate speech actually means anything in a vacuum.

That may be reversed as a false positive. They should contact support with a ticket or try for live chat.

Just as it was deemed a false positive in an aram case a bit back.

It is a poor choice of words and can probably be appealed

if you know what's an autoban, why say it if you care if you get banned? "karthus go kamikaze" works just as well

It's not at all what really matters. It's something I rarely think about when playing league. Sucks though that whoever didn't know "kys" would be automatically detected as a zero tolerance phrase. Pretty innocent suggestion mistaken as a real life encouragement to commit suicide. That's super lame. Rito needs to make sure to look at these things before issuing punishments. Sure, let the system detect it and flag it or whatever, if they have to, but then have a human do a quality control check before actually punishing someone. Should be obvious. Come on rito.
