You used a slur with a homophobic meaning. You didn't use context well enough for the people to understand it was meant to say something else, because you were reported. Therefore you used a homophobic slur.

Btw, those %%%% spams can seriously escalate your punishments to an instant suspension, so let's say you got lucky from getting a 15 days suspension instead of permaban.

Its most commonly used meaning is as an offensive slur, which Riot has a zero-tolerance policy on its use. At the end end of the day, no matter how much you try to cover-up your use of it as a slur after the fact, doesn't change the point that its use at all in League of Legends is strictly forbidden.

Every single dictionary I have checked has a footnote to "see also" the full word, and under the full word makes extremely clear that it is offensive and vulgar.

The word itself is homophobic. Just as the "n word" in any context is racist. Very few words have the privilege of getting a universally accepted connotation - not necessarily meaning, but connotation. This word, along with some other racist words, is one of them.

Homophobic isn't the context, it's the fact you used the word itself.

Riot doesn't disagree. The vast majority (well over 95%) of the community and society as a whole doesn't disagree. If you're going to play a game such as League, you must operate by and agree to the rules set by the owner/operator of the game - Riot. Riot sets their rules based on what an overwhelming majority of the community says - that word is homophobic in all contexts and has no place in League whatsoever.

That being said, on another note, "I disagree" is almost never a valid defense in life when you're accused of doing something wrong. You can't just go into court and defend your speeding ticket by saying "I disagree I was speeding - I think the speed limit is wrong there". The government sets the speed limit, generally after some community input as to how high/low it should be, and you're expected to abide by it or accept the consequences if you don't.

When you are playing League of Legends, you are expected to abide by Riot's rules. Just as when you are driving on the road, you are expected to abide by the government's speed limits - whether you agree with them or not.

Therefore it is fact that the word is not inherently homophobic. People just use it in homophobic context.

So, your idea of "responding appropriately" to someone bringing up your KDA, is to not mute them, but instead use an offensive slur 6 times?

Regardless of what they said to you, you either started and/or participated and escalated the argument. The general argumentative behavior alone is worth a Chat-Restriction/Penalty Tier Advancement. There is also a zero-tolerance policy against the use of offensive slurs, which escalates the penalty to a 14-Day Suspension minimum.

Make note, the 14-day suspension is your final warning, as the next penalty after this is a Permanent ban.

Doesn't excuse your behavior. You had the option to use the mute button, but instead chose to respond in the fashion you did. You got no one else to blame but yourself. The rule is simple, don't constantly argue with your team, and don't use offensive slurs.

And before you repeat your excuse that you mean an alternate/older definition of the term, it doesn't matter, and is far too often used as a weak cover when its clear the person who typed it meant it in the offensive slur definition. Zero-Tolerance means just that. Its use is forbidden here.

op There is never any "context" or "justification" for responding to, reacting to any Intentional negative chat , action or play .

Also there is never any "context" or Justification to negativity commenting on something you simply don't like or what you consider "bad play" of any kind.

You have no criticize anyone at any time for any reason including in ranked at any level.

If there is a feeder or afk just ignore them and play as you would if everything was fine.

If you disagree and /or ignore these rules, continue to break them then you don't belong as a GUEST of Riot and your Privilege of playing in this game should be taken away permanently,
