End-of-Season-Rewards: Reward for those who hit Gold+ on both Solo/duo and Flex queues.

Last year, Riot mentioned that players who reached Gold+ on both Solo/duo and Flex queue will earn a special reward.

  • Those who climb to Gold in both Solo/Duo Queue and the Flex Queue will unlock an extra-special end-of-season reward.

What are your thoughts. What do you think players will earn for Season 7?

Also, earlier this year, Riot mentioned something about doing the Victorious Skin differently. I'm a bit skeptical at this part. I don't have the official source atm.

Here are the end of season rewards list that has been teased and most likely return:

  • Ranked participation icons
  • Ranked loading screen borders
  • Profile banner
  • Gold+ Invite Flair
  • Gold+ Forum Badges
  • Gold+ Victorious Skin
  • Gold+ on both Solo/duo and Flex: Special Reward
  • Victorious ward? (An educated guess.)
  • Challenger+ reward?

I'm gold in solo and plat in flex but I'm not excited. It's hard to guess what it will be since this is the first season with solo and flex queues. Maybe a ward skin since they gave that out for winning games in ranked teams.

I wish they would say if it was something actually cool I would spend time grinding flex. But if it just an icon or ward skin then fuck it. I assume it is so I don't really care about flex queue, but might grind out gold if they announce the reward soon.

Man, I would start the grind asap. Once the reward is officially announced and it actually turns out to be legit, ranked will become hectic. Players are going to try their hardest to stop others from climbing, even those who are on their own team. So, if you do decide to climb, don't mention anything about being in a promo.

Yea I never say anything about promos I laugh when others do. I'm like 2-0 in silver promos right now. I am just pissed because I have seen other players who barely can scrap out gold in solo/duo get placed in gold flex meanwhile I got placed like B3 and have to climb through the BS. At higher ranks it doesn't sound as bad because higher rank players but some of these "bronze" games are fucking retarded. Hopefully hitting silver will make the grind a little easier.

Guess I will keep grinding it and just play off roles for fun. Might climb slow doing this but be fun to play different champions/roles and if reward sounds good then can get more serious towards the end of season.

LOL I wish that "elo heaven" existed but the truth is I've had games with plat and diamond that were bronze af XD

You think Bronze through Gold can be toxic, man, you need to check out plat XD. Most of them talk like they can walk on water and seem to have less problem throwing to spite people "cuz you suck and deserve the loss. I'll still climb anyway". They're the least fun to deal with.

If I had to break down my experiences (take as you will):

Bronze: Everyone is inexperienced except smurfs. People are frustrated but for many its because they don't know what to do. Can be chaos, but the skill level is low enough that comebacks are possible. Despite it being hectic, I actually found this elo fun overall. Its the one where you can most enjoy the solo split push or get away with mistakes.

Silver: This being the biggest base has the widest spread. Teamwork is coming online a bit. Mechanics can get decent. CS gets better, but still lots of throws and inexperience. Silver is toss up on a stomp or throw if that's your skillcap. People can rage but mute is pretty effective here as they usually stick to flaming and worrying about their own superiority. They may rage but they want to win still (for most part). Smurfs still come through and stomp from time to time.

Gold: Lower Gold tends to be the most chill as far as ego. Everyone is above average at the game but most realize they aren't deserving of Plat yet. Less trolling than other elos. Throws still happen. Building items correctly can still be an issue. Play calls are listened to more often because people have started to understand the game better. I have noticed though these guys tend to give up easily after losing early. Its like they don't have confidence in coming back at all. They get mad if you don't FF

High Gold-Plat: Where the shitstorm starts lol Egos shoot up. Plat players are usually good (better than my current level for the most part) but its not skill that inhibits here its mentality. Everyone wants to carry, everyone who isn't stomping sucks, everyone "deserves diamond". If you're NOT plat and they're in your game they've got no problem telling you you suck, throwing on purpose, not grouping, or trolling. Cuz they're "plat". At the very least, these guys flame A LOT.

Diamond: Haven't played with too many of them. The ones I've encountered seem chill. Not much else to say. I only meet these guys in norms so who knows how seriously any one of them takes the match. Seen em feed, seen em destroy but haven't really seen em talk much.

I'm Gold 5 solo (stopped after breaking into gold) S1 flex (almost gold. thats the rank q I've been focusing for rewards) Currently I play more norms and usually I'm the Gold everyone else is Gold 1/Plat/Diamond

What are other people's experiences? Anyone have similar ones? Obviously I don't play solo rank in Plat/Diamond yet (Someday? XD)

Hitting silver will not make it any easier. Silver is just bronze with people who think they're better than bronzies. It's almost worse.

To be honest it's been about the same. Just saying like.... in bronze I almost exclusively play with mostly gold players. And now in silver it's the same thing with actually more silvers. Since it's more team focused it's almost better to play with higher rank players since the higher level team work. Although I will admit since i am silver 5 in it I am not taking it that seriously and so are other higher rank players so it may almost be better to get lower rank players haha. Idk shits a cluster fuck every game is hard to tell wtf going to happen. One game super competitive the next there some bronze 5 or brand new player in the game. At this point I just shrug pick who I want to play and hope to win. The strategy hasn't really been working but have had some fun playing Malzahar for the first time in years along with some other champions.

Does suck though because starting to see trolls and teammates afk. Haven't really seen that in solo queue in awhile but I seem to be in that perfect elo where people don't care enough to rage to the point of afk but also care enough to try and play somewhat so games are generally somewhat competitive.

Thankfully, I ended last season in Platinum.

I can probably afford to lose most of my placement games without falling out of Gold in Flex Queue.

I've barely played the game since February, so that is rather fortunate.

These emotes are rewarded to veteran players who have been playing for years. It's the total amount of in-game hours played throughout Seasons 1-7

is there any way to know for sure how much i have other than ask support?

my main has been around since 2009 but i doubt i have 2500 hours even if i stack the time spent on all of the accounts i have (currently 3)

There is a quote about this somewhere on boards from a a Rioter. Ill try to find it.

Wol is inaccurate because Riot changed their API. The total amount of hours recorded are from Ranked games alone.

Currently, there is no way to know how many hours we've played. I read a comment from Riot, stating that even asking through support won't even help.

i asked about that last night and i just got a reply, with a rough estimate on the accounts i requested, from support. worst case scenario i may still get the defender on them but no more.

If you were banned after the 8/22/2017 cuttoff date, you are ineligible for ALL ranked rewards.
